"Did you find her?" I mind-linked Elder Jim.
"Yes, Alpha. I am on my way back," he answered, "I will meet with you in your office.
"Very well," I answered and cut the link.
Elder Jim had stopped me from going after Nerina, and for that, I was truly thankful.
"Alpha, it's best you stay here. I will attend to Nerina... you attend to the pack, they will have a lot of questions..." he said as he took his wolf form.
The old man didn't shy away and started his shift.
The cracking and breaking of bones sound more painful than the normal younger wolf shifting did, yet, once shifted, Elder Jim's wolf looks just as proud as any other.
