Everyone surrounded Daemon, exclaiming how cool he was and how he handled that situation so well. Several of the guys slapped him on the back, teasing him for being so aloof and being the cool hero.
I stood in shock over what had just happened, my eyes on Daemon. I would have been flustered to be approached and teased by so many people, but like everything else, Daemon dealt with it well and didn't seem bothered at all. He didn't even seem the least bit embarrassed. I envied that about him but also admired him for it.
