I got a severe tongue lashing when I finally got home from mum, she grounded me for a week and banned me from the hospital for two days. I dragged myself out of bed the next morning, glancing in the mirror and lamenting the bird’s nest that was my hair. Bags were evident under my eyes from the lack of sleep and my face had lost what colour it usually had.
