Dan’s P.O.V

Please let Rosie out of the prison father, she had suffered enough. I pleaded with my father who seemed unbothered by what i said.

Dan, do you think the sacred book is in the house of the golden circle pack? He asked.

I heard the story from my father about the sacred book that was created by the great grandfather of Alan, Who died decades ago… everyone has been obsessed with this book, every pack wants this book, and my father is not an exception. The powerful book that can make someone the most powerful.

I have no idea father, if it can be found in their house.

Why do i feel this book is one of the reasons my father got Alan killed. It can’t be easily taken from them if Alan was still alive. I want this book too, and i heard the Lycan king is also looking for it. But who will get it first?

No way i will allow the Lycan king get it first, he shouldn’t even set his eyes on it. I’m going to make sure of that. And to make sure of that, i have to get hold of the book first. I told my father to check if the book is in Alan’s house first, but if it doesn’t, Rosie might know where its hidden.

So father, more reason you should release Rosie from the prison. She won’t tell you where the book is hidden if she’s still locked up. Let’s get her out first and use her to get the book.

He seemed to like the idea, and quickly told the guards to get Rosie out of the prison.

Truth be told, i didn’t just want Rosie out of the prison because of the sacred book, i want her out because i want her for myself, without forcing it. And if i want that to happen, i should be on her good page right? I want them both, sacred book and Rosie.

My father left for Rosie’s house.

Elijah came back from where i sent him, which is to follow my father to Rosie’s house and see whatever happens there and report back to me.

“He burnt down her house” Elijah said…

What? He never said he’s going to burn down her house? What about the book? I asked Elijah. He was able to get it. He responded.

That put a smile on my face, we got the book. Which makes us the most powerful… i got the upper hand, kai lost to me.

But…. Elijah wanted to say something before i saw “The druids” who doesn’t come frequently. They only come when something seem confusing and we don’t know what to do. So something is definitely wrong, for the druids to be here. “The druids were believed to possess the ability to see things and heal. i asked Elijah what could be the problem.

I was just about to tell you sir. The book can’t be opened. What? What do you mean the book can’t be opened? Its just a book.

Lets not forget its not just a book sir, its a book for power. Elijah said.

And that makes sense. Which means a spell is casted on the book, which “The druids” might be able to open.

The druids got to my father, started performing rituals only known to them.

While the book was placed right in front of them. The ritual go on for a while. Then one of them said, “this book can’t be opened” Stop telling me the obvious thing, i know it can’t be opened, that’s why i called you to open it, my father said, furiously.

We can’t open it either, the only person who can open this book, is the only bloodline of the person who created this book, is the key to open it.

Without listening to anything else, my father ordered his men to bring Rosie to him now. Few of his men left, and after a while, Rosie was carried and dropped to the ground.

My father brought out a knife and cut Rosie’s ankle, forcefully placed her hand on the book and the blood dropping on it.

Nothing happened…. The book can’t still be opened. Which got my father and i confused. “The druids don’t lie, if they say its only Rosie’s blood that can open it, then its the truth. But why can’t it still be opened.

My father got angry and gave Rosie a slap on her face, which made her hit her stomach on the floor. This caused her a lot of pain that made her cried out loudly. I quickly come closer to her because i didn’t want to see her in pain. I pulled her up and that seemed to made made my father more furious.

You fool! He said, taking off my hands from Rosie’s shoulder. Are you suppose to do this here? When will you stop this nonsense Dan, i always warn you to stay away from her. And by being so stubborn, will only put you and her in trouble.

Take this trash out of my sight. And by trash he meant Rosie. She was dragged out and i decided to follow, but my father stopped me. Stay there!

I obeyed. I can’t afford to disobey my father, he won’t make me the Alpha if i do such. And i also can’t afford not to be the Alpha. Its has always been my biggest dream.

He asked the druids what the problem could be… he did as they instructed him but the book can’t still be opened.

Well… that only means it can’t be forced. Which means, if the blood is forced, then it won’t open. She has to give out her blood willingly.

What! My father roared loudly. Why on earth didn’t you mention that to me?

You never asked. One of the druids said. Which got him angry again.

If not for the fact that he’s a Druid, i’m sure he would have had his head cut off immediately he said that. But i guess he respect them. Not the person particularly, but the ritual. He doesn’t respect anyone, and definitely not afraid either expect for “The Lycans” He behaves differently when it comes to them. So yeah, of the Lycans, my father is afraid.

“Just leave” he said.. and they all left one after the other.

Dan, i thought of something, why don’t we use her? I don’t seem to understand what you mean father. Use who?

I quickly realized what he meant by we should use her.

We should use Rosie? But how father?

Make her fall for you Dan… we can’t get her blood willingly you know, so i guess that’s the best thing for us to do.

If she falls for you, you might be able to convince her to give out her blood willingly… i think she should be able to fall for the plan. She seems gullible.

Father, do not underestimate Rosie. She’s not as gullible as she looks. But let’s give the plan a trial. Who knows she might fall for it.

I don’t want you falling for her for real, so do not fall for her, else just forget about becoming the Alpha.
