Chapter Twenty Two

Rosie’s P.O.V

Where am i? I opened my eyes, groaning in pain, couldn’t move my body. My legs shaking. But i wonder why am not healing. What’s happening to me? Why am i here? Murmured to myself. Just as i was about to get up from the massive bed, the texture so soft and the white silk bedspread, can make anyone fall asleep easily. This isn’t the pack out, where is this place?

Two maids walked in, one holding a towel and the other holding some clothes…

Lets go and have your bath ma. The first maid said.

Okay hold on, first tell me where is this place. You both can’t just come in here and tell me to allow you to bath me? I have hands, and it works very well, i’m not a cripple, you can’t bath me.

The first maid come closer to me, pulled out the blanket on me. That was then i realized i was naked. My gosh! What did you all did to my clothes?

“I burnt them” heard a deep voice behind the other maid who was still standing with clothes on her hands. The two maids bowed down to this person, while this person finally becomes visible to me. My eyes widened. What! I quickly dragged the blanket from the first maid and covered myself.

Kai? What are you doing here? Wait… don’t tell me this is your place.

It is Rosie. How are you feeling? He asked coming closer to me. Do not come close, i said. Stay where you are. He obeyed and just stood there.

Why did you bring me here?

You were in trouble Rosie, i then decided to help, there’s nothing wrong with that.

I’m grateful to you kai, but you could have just bought me back to my place, you could have given me to Joan, instead of bringing me here.

This is the best place for you to stay, no one will hurt you here, not while i’m here.

To be honest, i love the fact that i’m not at the pack house, for the first time in my life, i finally feel like i’m free. I can’t show kai that i want to be here, i can’t let him know i want to stay here. That will make me look desperate.

“Once you are okay, i will take you back to your home” kai said.

Okay! But deep down in me, i don’t want to go back to that horrible place. Have went through a lot in the hands of those people. Going back there, its like digging my own grave. Not especially now, that they know that i’m connected to kai. I won’t let them hurt me again, most especially in my condition… ohh gosh! Should i tell kai i’m pregnant? What if he can’t accept it? What if he has a wife, or a girlfriend. No, i have to know him well before i mention this to him.

“What are you thinking about dear”? Kai asked with his hand crossed on each other.

Nothing, i said. Got down from the bed with the blanket on my body, groaning in pain. I was about to stumble when kai grabbed me by my waist. This made the blanket fall down from my body and my nakedness was completely seen by everyone present there. The two maids looked away, but kai didn’t. He keep staring at me, and didn’t say anything.

Damn!!! I screamed. Quickly rushed to pick up the blanket.

What are you staring at kai? Don’t you have manners? I roared loudly.

No i don’t, have never been thought any manner, so i don’t know what manner is. He said calmly and slowly that i couldn’t hear him.

I walked out on him and asked where the bathroom is. I will show you ma, one maid said. Ma? Ohh no don’t call me that. My name is Rosie, so call me Rosie. And don’t bother following me to the bathroom, i can take care of myself. Just show me where it is.

They both looked at kai, so as to get permission from him.

You both should leave. Kai said softly. They both dropped what they are holding and leave.

The bathroom is just at the left corner of the room. Kai said, pointing at where its located.

I got inside the bathroom…

Gosh!!! This is massive. The walls are clad in gleaming white marbles. The floor is made of large, polished slabs of dark grey granite, providing a freestanding tub. Wow!! I exclaimed, this is really beautiful. Still fascinating about the bathroom when i heard Kai’s deep voice.

“Are you okay in there”? Do you need anything? He asked.

No, i don’t, i’m okay.

What could i possibly need in this kind of bathroom, whatever i need seems to be here, what else could i ask for.

I finished up from the luxurious bathroom, got into the bedroom but couldn’t find kai anywhere. That brought me to the notice of how beautiful the bedroom is, how spacious. The room features a range of luxurious textiles, and also features a spacious walk-in closet.

I couldn’t have enough of all these luxuries. How’s all these possible? Gosh! I started touching everything visible i could touch, from the silk blanket to the plush armchair and a floor lamp. Wow! Have never seen something like this before since i have been born.

These things have been in my imagination for a while, i read them a lot in books. And now, i’m seeing them for real? How can this be possible. What kind of person is kai? Just his bedroom is bigger than the pack house at the Dark wand pack.

Got carried away by all these luxuries, and i didn’t noticed when kai walked in. He coughed, to announce his presence.

I looked back, and saw his gazed on my breast. Gosh!! I completely forgot i’m naked. Should have grabbed a shirt at the closet when i finished bathing but i got carried away.

Ohh No! I screamed out loud.

Decided to rush into the closet and grab some clothes. But i slipped and stumbled on the floor. I groaned in pain.

Kai quickly rushed at me, pulled me up by my hand, holding my back while the other hand touching my bare ass.

You need to be careful Rosie, you might hurt yourself.

I moved back from him. I’m fine, i said softly.

He went to the closet and bought me a shirt.

Here! Wear this. He said, giving me the shirt.

I grabbed it and wear it immediately.

Let’s go downstairs and eat. I obeyed.

He hold my hand walking me down the stairs.

We got to the dining, which is located at the living room.

The floor is made of rich, dark hardwood, polished to a high gloss and covered with a plush rug with a subtle pattern.

The dining area, features a stunning wooden dining table, made of richly grained wood and adorned with elegant carving. The table is surrounded by a set of plush, high-backed dining chair. All i could say is wow!

He pulled out a chair for me to sit, which i did immediately. While he sits next to me.

Three maids came in with foods on their tray. Ohh gosh! They all placed everything on the table, and left.

Its just the two of us right? Why’s there so many food? Are you expecting some people.

No Rosie, the food are all yours.

And don’t worry about a thing, i live alone. The maids have their own place, they just come here whenever i ask them to.

Looks like he can read my mind. How did he know i’m curious about these things.

Have been wanting to ask if he lives alone or not, but he said it anyway, without me asking.
