The physician arrived with kai, while i was lying down on bed. The physician asked kai to excuse us but he declined…
“She and the baby are mine”, why do i have to excuse you. He said, furiously.
The physician obeyed and never said anything, we were both quiet. I didn’t want him to go either. The physician continued his work, checked my pulse while i laid down with kai holding my hands.
“You have stressed it out a lot, so please avoid stress henceforth if you want to keep this baby”. The man said, to kai and i.
He’s right, this pregnancy had gone through a lot of things, right from the day i knew i was pregnant to this very moment. I held my stomach and apologized to it. “I’m sorry baby, i promise i will be good and careful from now on”. I said, quietly.
