There she a once again. She sat in front of me while staring at her documents.
She's always been dead serious and that really scared me most of the times. The age difference between us could be seen clearly, one could tell just by looking at her that she was the youngest, but her behaviour said otherwise.
My little sister had always been the most serious person I've ever met. As I continued to stare at her , I could see the bags under her eyes, it turned out she still had trouble sleeping. That was an issue she got as a child, something horrible happened to her during a period when both she and her mother were kidnapped, it caused her to never be able to give birth because of the damage that happened on her stomach.
She never said anything about the kidnapping that was useful to the police, she told them she couldn't remember, but I knew she was lying , my sister had one of the most sharpest minds.
"Are you done staring at me Amelia" she asked still looking at her documents
"Sorry" I shyly said
"Tell me what you want and leave" she said still not looking at me
"I just wanted to see you" I said and she chuckled
"I'm serious, say whatever it is you want then leave, I have a busy day ahead" she said and I hated how she saw everyone as an enemy, including her own family
" Okay, the truth is that I wanted to invite you to dinner" I said and she finally looked at me
"Very nice of you, but no thank you, I'm good" she said
"Dad won't be there, it'll just be my future husband , you and I" I said
"I didn't know you'll be getting married" she said
"Yeah, it has been long since I saw you and the fact that you don't answer your phone doesn't help at all" I said and she just smiled softly, her smile was still as cute as ever
"I'll come to dinner then , but only if you tell me why you agreed to marry for business" she said
"Is it that obvious?" I asked and she nodded
"You're my sister, I know you better than anyone, so why?" She asked
"It's complicated, I'll see you soon then sis , I'll not disturb uni anymore" I said
"Okay,I'll see you, text me the location and Ammy, next time tell me before you just show up, you know how dangerous it is" she said and I nodded
"Bye, I love you little sis" I said
"I love you too" she whispered making it almost impossible to hear
I left and as soon as I stepped out of her office tears started falling , I couldn't help but feel sorry for her , her mother's death broke her more than I thought
We were half sisters , my mom had an affair with her Dad while married to her mom , but she never brought it up, even when she was still a child she loved me to bits
