I sit at the kitchen counter and scrub my hands over my face. The Alpha ordered me to stay in the packhouse with my mate. I said it wasn’t necessary and that I should take Chloe home. However, Drew stated that Luna Emery wanted us here.
The place is crowded with Drew’s family, but he doesn’t care. He wants us here because Emery won’t be able to settle knowing Chloe isn’t near. He said it had to do with them having gone through hell. There’s still a lot for us to get through with the women who were taken, and now Sabine is staying here also. It’s best if Chloe does, too.
It makes no sense to me, but what the Alpha orders, we all comply. There’s no point arguing with Alpha Drew. You cannot win an argument against him.
