Drew The air is crisp and cool, carrying the scent of autumn with it. I breathe in the fresh air as I lead Emery through pack grounds. The past few days have been hard for us. Emery has been in therapy, and we’ve both been organizing our baby’s memorial. It’s set for next week. I didn’t want to push it on Emery as soon as she came home. I wanted her to start her therapy first. Since she returned, I hadn’t had time to show Emery around the pack. I wanted to show her all the changes I had made. People along the way yelled out to my mate, and she greeted them with a smile and a wave. I was so proud of my mate for her grace. I had prewarned people not to come running over to Emery.
