HIS SECRET LOVER

HER FIRST MESSAGE

Kia was staring at her laptop screen and constantly praying to God that Sam would also follow her account. She has taken the first step by following  Sam’s account and now it’s up to her luck that has to favor her. She has managed to get more followers than Sam so she was quite optimistic that Sam would surely follow her but when will that happen, she has no idea.  While doing her college assignment and continuously checking on the screen, she waited for four hours but all efforts in vain. Well, Kia had an option to directly message  but she decided to choose a different path. She wanted to start this relationship on equal grounds, she would also not message him unless Sam follows her back

“Kia, come baby dinner is ready”, Kia’s mom called her from the kitchen. Kia had no other option but to wait for another day. On the dinner table, her family was discussing having a trekking trip next month. Kia hardly heard anything as her mind was somewhere else and just nodded whatever her father asked her. She was not aware that her ignorance would become a speed breaker in her new journey. Just before she was getting ready to sleep, her mobile light flashed and a notification came showing that Sam has started following her. “Yay, thank you God”, Kia was continuously  jumping on her bed. Her brother Joy thought that a spirit has occupied her body and went back to his room to sleep. Not a spirit but love has caught her.

“Kia didn’t you sleep well, see how scary you look with your dark circles”, Joy commented on Kia when she came to have breakfast in the morning. “Shut up Joy, she must be studying till late night”. Kia did not uttered a single word and ate her breakfast quickly and returned to  her room and started smiling while looking at the same notification that she received last night and which made her so happy, that she couldn’t sleep properly. ”Soon Sam, you too are going to get such sleepless night and if you would be able to get some  sleep, you will have only me in your dreams”, Kia thought and started getting ready for her college.

Kia had four lectures today. Kia attended them with full concentration and attention. Kia was very assertive about one thing that whatever she has started will not affect her studies. She kept her priorities quite clear. Kia was an ambitious person and wanted to make big in the future. So whatever she does, she did it with utmost sincerity. After her classes got over she rushed to her home but was caught by her friends. “What is this Kia, will you continue to be a nerd in college also? Come on, we are going out for a movie, join us. All the boys too pursued her. But Kia rejected their offers as she thought, “Why would I be interested in the fake love  stories shown in those movies when my own has just started.”

After reaching home at 5 p.m., she quickly changed into her yoga pants and went to her home’s huge terrace to jog. Whenever Kia felt excited or anxious she jogs, it calms her down and gives her mind the power to think rationally and not emotionally. And today is the day when she is going to text Sam for the first time, which definitely needs her to be calmed.

           While having coffee in one hand she texted Sam her very first message with another hand,
