CHAPTER 46 Kay Carpenter had a broad smile on her face when she knocked on Templeton’s office door. Her boss was sitting behind his desk going through a pile of papers. “It looks like we have found the car,” said Kay. “It was on a mobile home site at a place called Hullbridge in Essex. One of the caravan owners reported a break-in to the local Plod and they found the car nearby, but it looks like our lovebirds have flown the nest.” Templeton got up from his desk and walked across to the map on his wall. “Where is Hullbridge?” he asked. Kay pinpointed it. He studied the map in detail. “What’s this place, Baltic Wharf?” “It’s a deep water cargo terminal on the river,” said Kay. “We’re checking it now.”
