Destined for love

Chapter 5

Ms Hannabel walked in followed by a boy, a handsome boy. Ms Hannabel introduced him as 'Cricket Grey',

"This is our new student and I expect you all to treat him nicely" Ms Hannabel said.

"Cricket, you can sit next to Rosella, she's really smart and can teach you a lot of things" Ms Hannabel said pointing at the empty seat next to Rosella.

"Sure" Cricket said and moved to the seat he was told to sit. Rosella was not happy, she was done with boys and now her teacher brought a tempting, handsome boy to sit next to her. She looked at him and saw that he was quite cute, he had dark long hair, a pointed nose, thin lips and dark blue eyes. He wore a fine shirt on tight pants. He had a golden watch on and a pair of white shoes. Just then, he turned and caught her staring at him, she immediately looked away and behaved as though nothing was wrong.

"Hi, Rosella right?" Cricket asked. Rosella turned,

"Yeah, hi" she said turning back to face the teacher. Once in a while her eyes went in his direction and she had to admit, he was really handsome. Through the corner of her eyes, she could see him stealing glances at her, but she didn't take it seriously. She didn't want to start nursing feelings for him. She tried erasing him from her memory but she couldn't and it was difficult because he was seating next to her.

At the close of school, she was about going home when Cricket approached her, "Hey Rosella, please could you help me with the maths that was taught today, I don't really understand it" Cricket asked.

"I'm sorry, I don't have time, my mum asked me to come home early so I could help her with something" She lied.

"Oh ok, bye then" Cricket said sadly and walked away. Rosella felt guilty for lying, but she didn't want to get tangled with a guy, she was so done with that stuff. She got home and felt bored, her mum was still at work and she had nothing doing. She deeply regretted not teaching Cricket but she couldn't possibly go back to school. If she could she would, but it would be too embarrassing. She went to the kitchen, made dinner, ate and slept.

Rosella woke exactly 6 Am in the morning and immediately started getting ready. She wanted to be the first to arrive at school that day. She took a bath, packed her hair into a ponytail, wore a sleeveless crop top shirt and a mini skirt with flat shoes and picked her bag. She had breakfast and was about leaving when her mum came out of her room.

"Honey, you're off so early" Mrs Craig asked her daughter.

"Good morning mum, I feel like going early today" She replied.

"Ok, but I hope you've done your assignments" Her mum asked.

"Assignments!, Oh my God!! I haven't done it. Thank goodness I'm going early, I'll do it in school " rosella said.

"Ok, bye " Her mum said.

"Bye mum " Rosella said blowing a kiss at her mum and leaving.

She got to school early but when she got to class, she found out that someone was already there, seated with a book on the table and a puzzled look on the person's face. Cricket. She stopped dead in her tracks. She didn't expect him to be in school this early. He looked up and saw her, he gave a faint smile and winked. She walked to her seat and sat, bringing out her assignment.

"Rosella, now that you're here early, could you teach me the maths, i don't understand it so i wasn't able to do the assignment" Cricket said looking at her with puppy eyes. Rosella looked at him and couldn't help smiling, he looked cute with that look.

"Fine, I'll help you" Rosella replied trying to pull up a 'I'm serious' look. Cricket moved closer to be able to get a better view then their fingers brushed again each other and to Rosella it felt like the world came to a stand still and her heart beat increased. She looked at Cricket who gave her a quick smile and looked away obviously flushed with embarrassment. As she began explaining, the whole world seemed to stand still and swallow them up.

Few minutes later, everyone started arriving and soon their little lesson was cut short. Rosella went to the washroom to arrange herself for the class. She looked at the big mirror and saw her cheeks were hot red. She smiled, she was actually falling for Cricket. She tried pushing the thought away but it persisted. She got to class and saw a note attached to her locker it said

"MEET ME AFTER SCHOOL AT THE JANITORS CLOSET" she looked up and saw Cricket glaring at her. She suddenly felt hot and sweaty. She managed to finish class in a normal state. But after, she rushed out of class and straight to the janitors closet. When she got there the lights were off and as she was about turning them on, a hand grabbed her and told her not to,

"It won't be very romantic if you turn on the lights" Cricket said in the most sexy voice. Rosella blushed hard then she realized that his arm was around her waist and they were just there, taking in each other's scene. Then Cricket suddenly turned her to face him and did the craziest thing she could ever imagine, he leaned in and kissed her. And unexpectedly she kissed him back.
