Destined for love

Chapter 6

Rosella's heart was pounding and she was breathless. Cricket looked down at her brushed a strand of hair off her face and kissed her cheeks lightly.

" I like you a lot Rosella, I know we just met but I know we'll get to know each other better. He said looking into her eyes.

"Ehm, I don't know if it can work out, I'm sorry" Rosella said and walked out, leaving cricket puzzled and sad. Rosella dragged her feet on the floor from the living room to her bedroom. She was feeling sad and angry with herself. She liked Cricket but she felt he would treat her like Dylan.

She lay on her bed and fell asleep. She didn't wake up till the next morning and immediately started getting ready for school. As soon as she got ready, she left the house without telling her mum goodbye. She got to school early and was relieved to find that no one was there, she went to her seat and sat reading when she felt someone's presence in the class. She looked up and saw Cricket. From the light's reflection, he looked hot and she felt like she could kiss him again but she held herself.

"Hi," Cricket said avoiding her face and sitting down.

" Hey, I'm sorry for yesterday, I owe you an apology" Rosella hurriedly said.

" No, it's ok, I thought you felt the same way, it's ok" Cricket replied.

" I do, just that in the past....". When she was done narrating the past, he got her point and promised her he would be different. Rosella smiled and faced him, then she noticed his face was super close to hers and their nose brushed against each other. Cricket leaned forward and whispered "I promise" and then he captured her lips in his. Rosella was in the clouds. She felt the time stand still and everything else fade away. She kissed him back and they found themselves touching each other. There was an outburst of desire that they both wanted to fulfill. Cricket kissed Rosella all over her body, from her lips down to her neck. Rosella moaned with pleasure, she had never felt this way before. She wished it would never end but as Cricket moved his hands under her skirt, she freaked out and stood. "What's wrong," Cricket asked shocked.

" Nothing, it's just that no one has touched me there before," Rosella said shyly.

" Are you serious?" Cricket asked. Rosella just nodded.

"Wow, I'm sorry" Cricket apologized.

" No need, it's ok" Rosella replied and sat. They continued reading in silence till others started coming.

During Bio class, Lily came to sit next to Rosella.

" Hi Rosella, how are you doing" Lily said not knowing how to start the conversation.

"Oh hi Lily what's up," Rosella said cheerfully because she couldn't stop thinking about what happened that morning.

" Well, I want to talk about something with you," Lily said.

"What is it?" Rosella asked, looking at Lily with a questioning look.

" I noticed the relationship between Cricket and you, so I wanted to ask if u guys were dating or something, " Lily asked.

"This girl's unbelievable, how can she be asking that after all she did in the past, " Rosella thought to herself.

"Oh that, nothing is going on between us. Just friends " Rosella replied, knowing fully well that her statement was a lie.

"Well since nothing is going on, could, maybe ask him out for me," Lily said.

"What! Lily, you must be joking. Aren't you dating Dylan? " Rosella replied looking at Lily disgustedly.

"Well, I'm tired of him. He's not as handsome as Cricket and he's always suspecting her. " Lily replied.

"What do you mean by suspecting you, " Rosella asked.

"He thinks I'm cheating on him and it's freaking me out" Lily answered.

Rosella was confused. She did not know what to do. She liked Cricket and he liked her too. Soon they'll become an item and here comes Lily asking her to ask him out for her. That was ridiculous.

"So, will you help me out with Cricket" Lily asked again, breaking Rosella's line of thought .

"I don't know Lily. I'll have to think about it. He just got transferred here, I can't just go around asking him out for you. He'll think I'm crazy. " Rosella replied.

"I know you don't want to help because you like him but don't worry, I'll get him" Lily said grinning.

"Were you sent to ruin my chances of loving someone. First it was Dylan now it's Cricket, just leave me be. " Rosella replied shooting Lily a disgusted look.

"It's you who keeps loving my men. I'll get him no matter what, just wait and see." Lily said and hissed before leaving the seat.

Rosella was dumbfounded, 'her men!'. What kind of person is Lily and why was she acting like that. She wasn't going to fight anyone because of a guy, so she decided to reduce her time with Cricket.

Rosella e really liked Cricket but Lily was trying to get in her way just the way she did with Dylan. She couldn't help but feel that Lily hated her and was an evil witch sent to kill love in her life.

The bell was rung and Rosella left for home, completely ignoring Crickets message that told her to wait for him at the school garden. All she wanted to do was to hug her bed and fall asleep.
