Destined for love

Chapter 1

"Rosella Craig, this is the third time you are coming late this week." Rosella froze and looked in the direction of Ms Hannabel, Rosella was shocked, there was no way Ms Hannabel could have seen her, she was facing the board, writing, there was just no way....

"Rosella, why have you been coming late?" Ms Hannabel asked, disrupting her thoughts.

"Ma, l-l-l-l, I mean..... nothing ma, there's no reason" Rosella said embarrassed because half the class was laughing already.

"Quiet everyone and Rosella go and have your seat", Ms Hannabel said silencing the class.

"Hey Rosella l-l-l-l" Bryan said mockingly and laughed sarcastically,

"Stop it Bryan, you're not being funny, you're being stupid" Lily intervened, saving Rosella more mockery. Bryan eyed Lily but couldn't say anything, he just withdrew to his seat and kept quiet."

"Thanks Lily, if you didn't intervene he would have mocked me more" Rosella said with gratitude written all over her.

"It's nothing, just helping a friend" Lily replied and smiled. Rosella nodded and felt happy, at least someone referred to her as "a friend"

'Ring' "Just the bell I wanted to hear " Rosella murmured and packed her bags when Lily came to meet her.

"Are you going home so early, the bell was just ring and you are already packing to go" Lily said with a shocked expression on her face,

" I have nothing else to do here" Rosella replied in a hushed tone like she was embarrassed.

"Why don't you hang out with me instead of going so early, or is your mum expecting you to come do something for her" Lily asked. Rosella shook her head,

"Then put your bag down and follow me" Lily said tugging at her bag. Rosella let her remove her bag from her back and follow her though she didn't want to.

"Where are we headed" Rosella asked obviously tired of waiting, They were moving, moving, moving and she didn't know where to, they had passed the principal's office and kept going.

"It's a secret place in the school that only the principal knows and since she's my aunt, she took me there once and allows me come once in a while, I usually hang out there either watching movies or reading or just resting." Lily replied looking around and increasing her pace. They walked till they reached a corner then they turned left and came face-to-face with a door, Lily turned the knob and pushed the door. It produced a squeaky noise and gave way. Lily stepped in and beckoned to Rosella to come in too. When Rosella got in, she was awe struck. So this kind of place existed in her school. It was a small well lit room, with two windows, a comfy bed, a reading table with a PC on it, book shelves filled with different novels, different board and card games and a lot of beautiful artifacts . She couldn't help but caress the artifacts, they were so beautiful and delicate.

"Wow" Rosella exclaimed,

"I know right" Lily said.

"This place is amazing" Rosella said out loud.

"Now that we're in a place where no one can hear us, I want to ask you something" Lily said with a serious look on her face. "Go ahead " Rosella said after much thinking.

"Why have you been coming late to class, it's really unlike you, is anything the matter" Lily asked.

"Nothing , I have no reason " Rosella replied bowing her head.

"It's nothing true, tell me" Lily said pressuring her.

"Fine I'll tell you, it's Dylan, anytime I come early he's always there and he keeps disturbing me to be his girlfriend but I don't know what to say, so I started coming late when everyone including him would be in class already, so he won't get the chance to disturb me and that's why I go home early, so that I can leave before he sees me" Rosella blurted out.

"Oh..... but who did you say again" Lily asked,

"it's Dylan" Rosella replied almost immediately.

"Dylan, no no no , don't go out with him, he's evil, he's handsome and s**y and all that but don't. He was my boyfriend for a year so I know him well, don't go out with him" Lily said, she would never allow anyone go out with Dylan, even though they had broken up she still had feelings for him and only wants him to be hers. She didn't even know why he broke up with her but she was determined to get him back.

"Ok I won't" Rosella said loo looking at the bookshelf and getting a book to read, she sat on the bed and read while Lily moved to the PC the watch a movie. Rosella was so engrossed in the book that she didn't take note of the time until

"Rosella it's 6 Pm, we gotta get going" Lily said.

"Good Lord, when did it get so late, I have to go now, my mum will be worried sick" Rosella said standing up. When Lily got up, they both left together and went to their separate houses after saying goodbye to each other.

"Where have you been Rosella" Mrs Craig asked with a frown.

"Mum calm down, I was with a friend and lost track of the time" Rosella said,

"A friend, ok, but next time call or send a text, don't just leave me to worry" Her mum queried.

"I'm sorry mum" Rosella said going to her room. She dropped her bag on the floor, took off her shoes and lay on the bed, thinking. A part of her wanted to accept Dylan and a par of her wanted to listen to Lily . She was between the devil and the deep blue sea. She didn't know what to do. If she accepts Dylan , Lily will never talk to her again and won't allow her go to the secret hide out anymore, she couldn't lose that amazing place because of a guy. She had to think...... Rosella woke up with a start, she looked around and saw it was already dark, she looked at herself and saw she was still wearing the clothes she wore to school. She had her bath, changed into her pajamas and wanted to eat because her stomach was grumbling. She must have slept off while thinking about Lily and Dylan. She checked the time and saw that it was 11 Pm, "Holy s**t, I must have taken a really long nap" she thought and headed to the kitchen when she saw her mother.

"Finally, sleeping beauty has woken up" Her mother said after sighting her,

"I came to wake you for dinner but you were sleeping deeply, so I decided not to disturb you. your food is in the kitchen, you just need to microwave it" Her mother said before she could ask.

"Thanks mum, you're the best" she said smiling. Mrs Craig smiled and as Rosella was about to leave she said,

"Your dad called, he said he would be back with your brother in a months time at the most". Rosella smiled inwardly, finally her dad was coming back home. When she was done eating, she did the dishes and thanked her mum before heading to her room. She was not tired and so decided to play games on her phone since they didn't give them assignments. She was about going to her favorite game when a message came in. she clicked on it

"Hi Rosella ❤️, it's Dylan, you might be wondering when I got your number from but does it matter, what matters is that I love you, I am in love with you Rosella, I want you to be my girl, please Rosella don't ignore me, please Rosella dear please........"
