HAZEL POV My phone rang again, but my body was too heavy to make a move. The door creaked open, and I jumped up instantly, my instincts kicking into protective mode. Killian strode toward me, his knuckles bruised and cut. This is all his fault. He crouched down and pulled his jacket over me. “Get up,” he said, his voice low. He reached down, wrapping his hand firmly around my wrist to yank me off the floor. "No!" I screamed. “This is all your fault.” With every ounce of strength left in my body, I ripped my wrist out of his grasp. "Don't touch me, Killian!"
