Chapter 7 - Kane's POV

When Kane entered the study, Alpha Frederick stood up and wanted to speak. But Kane slammed the door and pinned him to the wall holding him by the neck.

,, How dare you hide my mate from me? I visited this pack lands every two years and you never mentioned you had a daughter let alone introduce her to me! "he yelled. His eyes were black and he was angry, out of his mind angry. Alpha Frederick couldn't speak and was gasping for air. Kane dropped him on the floor and after a moment he mustered all his force to speak.

,, I beg your forgiveness my King! I wasn't hiding her from her you, I didn't want her to get married, I wanted her to find her mate, the one sent by the Goddess. It never occurred to me that you might be him. Please forgive me!! " he begged Kane.

He turned to face Alpha Frederick, his face full of anger.,, You are lucky she is your daughter, otherwise I would have killed you on the spot."

,, Thank you your Majesty!! I am forever in your debt!! " and he bowed.,, I am honored that you are the mate of my daughter, she is my pride and joy and I am sure you will be delighted with her. I wish you all the happiness in the world."

Kane

,, Is there anything else I should know? Are you hiding anything else from me?" Kane questioned as he was adjusting his tuxedo.

,, No, my King! " Frederick replied with his head bowed down.

,, It better be! Or I am coming for you." said Kane as he was exiting the study.

He couldn't wait to get to Madeline. She was all he could think about. The Goddess gave him a mate that was worth the wait. He didn't mind having to tame her a little bit, he actually enjoyed pursuing a she-wolf. He got women so easily that he got bored of any female interaction. His lips curled into a smile at the thought of her fiesty nature. He saw Martha waiting for him and he told her he was going to change from that tuxedo and then they were good to go. When he came out of his room he caught a glimpse of Roan running down the stairs and heard him tell Martha that Madeline ran away and they had to find her. Before Roan could reach the main door, Kane was by his side.

,, How long ago did she escape?" he demanded.

,, Not more than 10 minutes. Luna Gabriella went to get her something sweet as she wasn't feeling well, but when she got back she wasn't there. She can't be far." Roan replied.

Luna Gabriella came down the stairs with Martha.,, Your Majesty, I am really sorry. I was sure she wouldn't run away! There is a forest to the North that is not very big, but it goes straight to the main road. I am certain she went that way." she said.

Kane smirked.,, It's fine Luna Gabriella. She can't get very far because I don't think she shifted. I am sure her wolf would have come back to me. If you will excuse me, I have a mate to catch. Roan stay here and make sure everything is in order. "

,, OK. Let me know if you need any help." Roan replied.

Kane could smell Madeline immediately as he got out of the villa. He followed her scent into the woods her mother mentioned. Her smell was intoxicating and inviting. He was going to mark her as soon as he got her. The scent was getting stronger by the second. He spotted a tiny treehouse in an old oak and knew she had to be hiding there. In human form there was no way she could make it to the road. As he got to the tree he heard her heartbeat. Apart from her voice, it was the sweetest sound he ever encountered.

,, Sweetheart we talked about you running away from me haven't we? " he said in a soft voice. There was no answer.,, I know you are there, so you will either come down or I will tear this d*mn tree down." he continued, his tone more demanding. Nothing. He looked around the tree and found a way to climb. The first glimpse he caught of his mate started a tornado in his mind and heart. He waited for her for such a long time, he yearned for his mate, for the happiness she would bring him and the power he would gain. How could she run away from him? Why did she run away? It was unexpected, but she was a wolf and knew this would happen one day... She would submit to him even if by force. He would drag her screaming back to his pack if needed and lock her away only for him to see, love and enjoy her.

,, If you don't calm down, you will give yourself a heart attack. " her voice woke him from his enraged state. Before she could say anything Kane was by her side. His teeth were ready to mark the woman the Goddess sent him.,, No! Please, don't!" her eyes widened with realization. Kane felt Madeline's fists trying to push herself free from his grasp, but to no avail.,, Next time obey me!" his tone husky as his eyes turned to gold. The moment he pierced her skin, Madeline screamed and a second later, he felt her go limb in his arms and eventually faint. He retracted his fangs and kissed the mark to stop the blood. He gently put her on the small improvised couch. She was beautiful and she was his. He still had to make love to her to complete the mating. The thought of having her in his arms, hearing her moan as he touched her delicate skin, as he would bite her soft n*****s making them go hard, as he would pleasure her, be her first man made Kane go crazy with lust. He looked at her as she was regaining consciousness. He smiled as he was sure he was in for a good fight.
