CHAPTER 14Traitor’s End
For a long moment no one moved or spoke, and, the pistol in Wilson’s hand never wavered as he levelled it at the tall Admiral’s stomach. Hogarth gulped, his pale eyes flickering from face to face.
“Put down that gun!” he snapped desperately “Rennie!”
“Don’t move,” said Wilson coldly. He stepped back to a point where he could cover the entire group. He glanced at Laurance. “Call off your ship. Hogarth has surrendered his command.”
“No!” Hogarth half-swayed towards the open drawer then recoiled as light gleamed from the barrel of the pistol. “You don’t know what you’re doing, Wilson. Laurance is bluffing.”
“You admitted that he could bomb us all.”
