CHAPTER TWO

BACK AT THE CLUB

"Gosh, you are so handsome she said drowsily and tapped Raven's face.

"Hey miss, you are drunk," Raven said and tried to pull her off. He felt strange with this lady.

"I....i.. feel like puking" Alyssa said and Raven's eyes widened.

Before he could even say anything, she vomited on him and freed herself from him while he stood still looking at her, he didn't know if he was shocked or something, he just watched her walk away.

"Damn" he said and walked off to the rest room.

Minutes later, he came out looking for Daniel.

"That guy, he told me to meet up here in the club" Raven said irritated already.

"My lord" he heard a voice call.

He could recognize that voice from anywhere.

"What is she doing here?" He thought and then turned back and the lady fell on her knees.

"Nia?! He called.

"What are you doing here? I told you to stay put until I'm back " he told her calmly.

"My lord.." She bowed.

"I can't leave you alone, my lord.." She said.

"No, Nia go back, i won't go back until I find my mate who can end my life" Raven said.

"But the werewolf clan has been entirely wiped out by the Dark vampires.." Nivea said and stood up.

"Lucian is also in the city looking for her too. If he claims her first, you might really die my lord..." Nivea said.

"I know.." Raven

"We are both aware that you twins have been cursed right from birth by the moon goddess not to have the mate bond.

You would really have a hard time finding your mate. It's already a problem that you both are mated to her but the problem lies in who finds her first.." Nia said.

Rachael sighed as she awaited her best friend's return.

Just then she saw her approaching, she looked a bit sober now.

"Hey, Are you okay?" She asked Alyssa.

"Yeah, I'm fine" Alyssa said.

"We need to go now, your mum will scold you! Rachael said while Alyssa rolled her eyes.

Just then the images of her kissing a guy flashed on her head.

She smiled remembering the guy's face, he was so handsome!

But come to think of it, it was her first kiss. She gave her first kiss to a total stranger.

"How could she!? She thought and slapped her face lightly. How could she !?

"Hey, you okay? Rachael asked her jolting her out of her thoughts.

"Hm, Rach I.... I kissed a total stranger!" Alyssa said and Rachael chuckled.

"That's not new" Rachael said and Alyssa hit her lightly and bit her lower lip.

"I know I'm a bad girl but truth to be told, I've never kissed anyone before and you know that. But the guy was beautiful, ravishingly beautiful!" She added with a gleam in her eyes and Rachael looked at her keenly .

"Aly, you were drunk so how did you remember his face clearly?" Rachael asked.

"Even though, i was drunk, i remember his face clearly" Aly grinned . "And I have a feeling that we will meet again!" Alyssa added with a smile.

"Huh, lover girl, let's go home" Rachael said and they chuckled.

Alyssa grabbed her bag and they walked out. As soon as they came out, Rachael gasped.

"Oh my! I forgot my phone.."

"I'll be back Aly.." Rachael said and rushed in. Alyssa sighed and then brought out her phone.

As she did, suddenly a car started racing towards her. She looked up and her eyes widened immediately, her heart already flew out of her chest and she stood glued to the spot.

The fancy car stopped abruptly in front of her and Alyssa fell to the ground, holding her chest in relief.

The car's door opened and someone stepped out of the car. Alyssa looked up angrily and her jaws dropped when she saw who was standing in front of her. For a second, she was dumb struck.

He was damn beautiful! Handsome!

"How can I meet two handsome people today?" She asked. She was not the only one gushing over his beauty. Different girls standing outside were also gushing over him.

'Miss, are you okay?" He asked, his hoarse voice sending shivers down her spine. But suddenly, she regained herself and then stood up.

She hit his chest immediately surprising him.

"You fool! Why were you in a rush? What I got hit it something?!" She yelled and he smiled making her more angry.

"I'm sorry miss. It's a mistake.." He said again. Alyssa hissed and took her bag from the bag.

"Aly!" Rachael called from behind. Alyssa hissed again and ran over to Rachael then she grabbed her hand.

"Let's go.." She said.

Lucian smiled as she watched the strange girl leave. He smiled again and his eyes went to the ground. He found her contact card lying on the ground. He bent down and picked it up.

"Alyssa Vandemir.." He smiled again.

Alyssa tiptoed as she opened the door, she didn't want to let her mum see her. She smiled happily when she saw no one in the living room and as she was about to climb the stairs she heard her mum's voice.

"Are you done clubbing?! Her mum asked her and she scratched her hair, smiling nervously.

"Mum, you know.."

"Shut up!" Her mum yelled at her.

"I'm done with this, Alyssa" Her mum said and Alyssa bursted into tears.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry " she said, sobbing.

Alyssa knew her mum's weakness.

"Fine, it's okay, iIdidn't mean to yell at you" Naomi said and Alyssa hugged her.

Her mum is her life, everything to her. Her father died even before she was born, that's why she loved her mum so much.

Later.

Naomi sat up and stared at the sleeping Alyssa. She smiled brightly and touched her cheek. The happiest day of her life was the day she found her outside her home.

She was at the worst phase of her life when she found her. Her and her husband just got divorced, she was broken at the time but then she found her and her life changed.

Naomi found a golden necklace on the baby's neck and a name was inscribed on it "ALYSSA".

She was sure her parents wanted to name her Alyssa. Naomi took her right hand to her hair and caressed it.

"Thanks for coming into my life. I love you princess.." She whispered, smiling.

LUCIAN'S MANSION.

Lucian teleported himself into the mansion. He sighed and fell on a sofa. His mansion was as lonely as he was. Then he remembered the sassy lady he encountered today and he smiled. He took the card from his pocket.

"Alyssa Vandemir.." He called again. He then brought out his phone and made a phone call to someone.

The next day.

Alyssa stared at her reflection in the mirror. She looked beautiful.

She was going for a job hunt. She had to look for a job that would sustain her and her her mum.

Alyssa ran downstairs and met her mum setting up the dining table. The food on the table was mouth watering but she had to take her eyes off it so she wouldn't be late for the interview.

"Are you not going to have breakfast?" Her mum asked her and she nodded.

"No, mum, I have to get to interview as soon as possible" Alyssa told her mum. Then she pecked her.

"Bye mum.!" She yelled and ran out of the house and Naomi sighed.

DALTON'S REALITIES

"He's coming, the boss is coming!" Came the whispers of the board members as they all rushed to their seats.

Raven walked in, Majestically looking so handsome in the blue suit he wore. His right ear was pierced and an earring was on it.

All the board members stood up before ordering them to sit.

"I don't have much time, so go straight to the point. I only twenty minutes to spend here.."He said and looked at his wristwatch. A man in his early fifties who stood up and bowed to him.

"Speak!" He ordered.

"Sir, the construction company profits have increased tremendously, and we have made 70% profit.." The man said and bowed down again before going to his seat.

"Next" Raven said as he operated on his tablet in his hands.

The next person was a young female in her early thirties. She trembled as she picked up her file.

"Speak!" Raven ordered without sparing her a glance. He brought out his phone and started operating on it.

"Actually sir.." She said, her head bowed. Raven immediately looked up to her.

"We lost 20% of our company's sales due to an acci....."

She couldn't complete her statement because Raven threw the tablet at her. But she was lucky enough to have dodged it.

The lady heaved a sigh of relief but was jolted out of her reverie when Raven banged the table.

"Sir, I'm so sorry!" The lady said and sank on her knees.

Raven scoffed and stood up, he was getting angry now, and rather than create havoc. Everyone should just leave his sight.

"Get out!" He stated softly and his eyes flashed but returned to normal immediately.

The board members were trying to pack their files and other stuff hastily but they were interrupted by his sudden scream.

"Get the hell out!!" His voice thundered and they all ran out taking different directions.

Daniel ran in immediately, he saw Raven taking off his tie.

His breathing was erratic.

"Dude!" He said and touched his shoulder.

"Calm down" he added and Raven closed his eyes trying to calm down.

"I really need to find my mate but how do I do it?"" He asked and turned to face Daniel who nodded in despair.

Alyssa got down from the taxi as she stared at the building.

Dalton's Realities...." She muttered and smiled before walking in. She smiled as she walked up to the receptionist desk.

"Hello!" She said, smiling lightly at the young beautiful lady.

"Hello, how may i help you?" The lady asked.

"I'm here for the job interview" Alyssa said. with a smile on her face.

"Oh yeah, i guess you are one of the applicant" The receptionist said and she nodded.

"Ok then, go straight and take the elevator to room 406, fifth floor " the receptionist described and Aly still wore her beautiful smile.

"Thanks" She said and walked away.

RAVEN'S OFFICE

"Raven, do you still need a secretary?" Daniel asked as Raven worked on his laptop.

"I do, how many timess will you ask me that?" Raven asked him.

"You know no one will be able to work with you because of your attitude. You are not accommodating, you see mistakes in every little things a person does, and the worst of all, you are rude and highly arrogant and finally your temper!" Daniel said.

"Are you done?" Raven asked him. "If so, get out!" He said and glanced at him before looking back at his laptop.

"Wow! Dude, i told you to calm your temper!" Daniel said and retreated to the door.

"What about Nia? Did she leave already?" Raven asked.

"You know Nia, Raven.." Daniel said .

"She's stubborn like you, so she's still in the mansion " He added

"Ok then, I'll leave now, I need to interview the intended secretary but I just hope this one lasts long with you." He added and opened the door before he heard Raven's voice behind him

"I'm coming with you.."

BEST LOVE'S RESTAURANT.

"Good morning boss.."

"Good morning handsome.." The workers greeted Lucian as he walked in. He smiled and answered their greetings.

"Is everything set?" He asked them and they nodded.

He brought out his phone and then called someone. The person answered the call immediately.

"Have you found her?" He asked with a smile.

"Yeah, I think she's job hunting. She's at Dalton's Realities as we speak.." The person answered and Lucian's eyes widened immediately.

Next" Daniel called and Raven sighed. He regretted coming with Daniel to interview bitches.

His ear couldn't rest because he was reading their dirty thoughts. Most of them were interested in going to bed with him. And he hated it!

"Next. Miss Alyssa Vandemir!" Daniel called and a tiny voice responded as she walked in.

Daniel gasped and his mouth fell, the lady standing in front of him was breathtakingly beautiful.

"I'm here, sir " Alyssa said and walked in and Raven raised his head to see her.

He smirked and looked down, she must be one of those beautiful ladies who are willing to throw their bodies cheaply to a man. She's not so different from the others. Most of them dressed up nicely in order to impress him.

But the surprising thing was that he could not read her thoughts.

"But that's nearly impossible, how could he not read her thoughts?" Raven thought and glanced at her again.

Raven glanced at the lady looking at her keenly before he stood up.

"I'll interview her" Raven said and Daniel looked at him suprised.

What made him interested in this lady.

"Okay" Daniel said.

"Your name?" Raven asked coldly and Alyssa smiled.

But an image immediately flashed on her head.

She knew this guy, He...he was the one she kissed the other night.

'God! How the hell is this happening! Oh Gosh!" Aly thought and hung her head low embarrassed. She couldn't bare to look at him.

"What if he recognises me?" She asked herself.

"I asked what is your name? Miss, are you deaf?" Raven asked rudely, jolting Alyssa out of her thoughts.

"The hell? How can he be so rude?" She thought and almost rolled her eyes but she controlled herself.

"My name is Alyssa Vandemir as already stated in my resume in case you didn't see it, Sir" Alyssa said with a sarcastic smile and that came as a slap on Raven's face.

Daniel gasped.

"This little lady should watch her tone. Any little thing can anger Raven..: He thought.

Raven on the other hand was getting frustrating because he couldn't read her thoughts. He was really curious.

"Just who the hell is she!' He asked himself.

"Age?" He asked

"20" she said .

She was tempted to ask him if he didn't read her application form but she closed her mouth anyway. She wouldn't want to risk her chances of getting the job.

"I see you don't have any working experience " Raven said, going through her file.

"Miss why did you come here then? I thought we made it clear that the applicant should have a working experience of 5 years?" Raven added and Alyssa rolled her eyes.

"Mr, I just graduated early this year from college. How can i have a working experience of 5years?. I don't think it's possible.." She said with another sarcastic smile not knowing what she said was gravely wrong to Raven.

Daniel gasped again.

"This girl is going beyond her boundaries" He thought and quickly intervened.

"Miss, We cannot hire you, we are so sorry about that. We can only hire applicants that has five years of experience" Raul said.

Alyssa stood up, her little hope crumbled into pieces. She was at a loss of words then she frowned before turning back.

"That Arrogant annoying jerk!" She muttered not knowing it was audible enough for the two men to hear.

"What did you just say?" Raven asked rudely.

"How dare this lady? Raven thought.

No one,not even Nia, his close friend had spoken to him this way. No one dared to speak to him rudely, if she only knew who he was, she would have bowed down to worship him.

Alyssa froze on the spot. He heard her and she was doomed already. But she wasn't scared. After all he didn't want to employ her.

"No, you are not a girl who gets scared easily of anybody and besides this is not the only place she could work for, other companies could employ her.."

She turned to face the handsome daredevil.

"Yeah, i said so, you are an annoying jerk. Just because you are so rich doesn't mean you look down on others. So you better change your attitude, mr pompous! Arrogant jerky fool" Alyssa spat at him and walked out leaving Raven stunned.

'How could she speak to me in a such a rude manner?' He asked himself. He was getting angry again.

"Arrogant jerky fool!" He scoffed.

"Who the hell does she think she is to talk to me so rudely?" He asked Daniel, the anger evident in his voice.

Meanwhile Daniel couldn't hold his laughter anymore, he bursted into laughter.

"What's so funny Daniel?" Raven asked angrily.

"Sorry, I'm so sorry!" Daniel said and tried to control his laughter but he couldn't.

But just then Raven realised something. Memories of how a lady kissed him at the club yesterday flashed through his head. And then he realised that she was the same lady.

She was the one who kissed and puked on him.

He stood up immediately and grabbed his suit.

"Where are you going?" Daniel asked him.

"I'll be right back.." He said and then ran off.

Alyssa cursed angrily as she walked out of the company.

She had high hopes today but all her hope went crashing all because of that daredevil. She damn hates him. She was still brooding when she bumped into someone.

"Hi miss.." The masculine voice said and she looked up. She gasped when she saw him. He was the guy she hit yesterday.

"You!" She said and he smiled revealing his one sided dimple.

"Okay, I'll go straight to the point. I know you are job hunting and I'm ready to hire you. I'm willing to pay you any amount you want.." He said and Alyssa's eyes widened.

"What?!"

Meanwhile Raven who was looking around for the lady but couldn't find her. And worse, he couldn't trail her scent cause she doesn't have one.

But he was feeling a strange presence. Just then he looked at a direction and then saw her there talking with someone. His eyes widened when he realised who she was talking with. It was Lucian! His greatest enemy.

He clenched his fists angrily and without thinking twice, he teleported behind them.

Lucian's eyes darted towards him and he smirked. Alyssa turned to see who he was smirking at. Her eyes widened when she saw him.

"Mr Dalton?" She called surprised.

"Actually miss Vandemir, I reconsidered you. You are good. I finally decided to give you the job.." Raven said glaring at Lucian.

"I'm willing to double the offer he gave to you.." Lucian said and Raven smirked. He grabbed Alyssa's hand.

"I'm willing to triple the offer..." Raven added and Alyssa's eyes widened.

"I'm willing to quadruple the offer.." He said and grabbed her other hand, glaring at Raven.

"Fine. I'm willing to give you all you want.." Raven added and Alyssa looked at both of them stunned.

"Wait, what's going on here?" She asked herself.
