"Oh, I'm so relieved," Wilona said with a big smile. "Is she awake?"
"Yes," William said hoarsely. He coughed once, and I knew he wasn't well. "Last night, when I woke up to go to the bathroom, I heard her groan and I almost hit the door. The doctor said Alicia was awake, but she was still on the verge of collapse. I talked to her all night, and just before you came, she was fully awake."
William coughed again, several times this time, until Wilona gently rubbed his back.
Wilona poured some mineral water into a glass and handed it to him.
"William, you're not feeling well," Wilona said with concern. "I think you should see a doctor too."
William drank his mineral water and shook his head. "No, no need. I'll just take some vitamins. I'm fine."
