✰ Chapter 12 ✰

The following morning, I decide to follow along with the internet tells me about bulimia. Still in my pajamas, I walk out of my bedroom and across the hall into my bathroom, then close the door and locked it. I turned on the light and then look at myself. I see all of my insecurities in full view now. {Warning: If you have a weak stomach, then I suggest that you skip this scene} I have both of my hands gripping the edge of the sink. And I was looking down at my feet. “Okay, you can do this Macie.” I say to myself. Everyone else makes it look so easy, besides I’ll lose weight faster in a few weeks anyways, if I do this almost every day. “It’s now or never.” I sighed.  I then take two fingers and then attempt to shove them down my throat. When that didn’t work, I grab the end of my electric toothbrush and then shove that down my throat. That works because I’m starting to feel last night’s Porterhouse Steak dinner come back up my throat. I run to my toilet and lift up the rings and then start to throw up. All the food getting out of my mouth in chunks. Once I finished, I stand up and flush the toilet and wipe my mouth. “This is way easier than I expected.” I say with a grin. I then brush my teeth so it’s not obvious to Charles, and to be even more cautious, I even rinsed my mouth with some mouth wash. I walk out of my bathroom, and then start to get ready for school. ~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~ “So, do we just go to Chili’s for lunch?” Serena asks me. “Yeah sure, let’s go.” I say coughing. “Are you okay?” She asks me once we made our way to her 2014 black Chevy Malibu. “Yep, fine, just have a bad cough.” I just explained. She nods her head and then we get in her car. When we get there, we both sit down at our table, and I then decided on getting two appetizers while Serena chose one. “Wow you must be really hungry.” She asks after the waitress left with our appetizer orders written down. “Yeah you can say that.” I giggled. I’m just going to throw it all up when I get home from practice this evening anyways, so no big deal. “Hm, everything looks so good.” Serena says with a sigh whilst looking through her menu. “I think I might order two entrees just for the hell of it.” I explained whilst looking at my entrée options. “Ah, you do have a point there.” Serena explains with a laugh. Just then, our waitress comes back and hands us our menus. “Here are your drinks, and your appetizers should be out shortly.” She says, with her thick Southern belle accent. “Thank you.” Serena and I say in unison. She just smiled at the both of us, and then left us alone again. “So, how’s school going?” Serena randomly asks me. “Um, good, in my ceramics class, we had to make our own sketchbooks, so I decided to do a collage on the front and back of my book beach themed.” I tell her whilst clearing my throat. “Oh, that’s cool, I have 3D art 2nd period, so I decided on doing a dog themed collage, for the front and back of my sketchbook.” Serena explains. “Ah, that’s cool. Have you heard from Stamford?” I ask her. “Oh yeah, I sent my application in, and coach actually pulled some strings for me, and a scout from the Stamford women’s soccer team wants to watch me in action.” Serena tells me with a grin. I gasped. “Serena, that’s really good.” I say grinning at her. “Damn right it is. My parents are super excited.” Serena smiles. “I bet they are.” I chuckled. I can’t relate though. Mine could give no f***s on where I’ll end up going to college. But my main goal is the University of Louisville. As you may have known. “Okay, here are your appetizers.” The waitress says while handing Serena’s first, and then giving me both of mine. “Are you guys ready to order?” The lady asks us whilst grabbing a notepad. “I’ll have the Chicken Fajitas, and a side of Mexican Rice with it.” I tell her while giving her a big smile. She chuckles and writes down my order. “And for you?” She turns her attention to Serena. “I’ll just have a Chipotle Shrimp Mex Bowl.” Serena tells her with a smile as well. The lady nodded her head and wrote it down. “Did your mom not feed you?” Serena asks me once the waitress left with our menus. “Yeah she just kept giving me shakes.” I tell her. It’s true, but not really why I’m eating so much. I’m eating a lot so I can throw it all up later on today. “Oh well I see.” She chuckles. I then nodded my head and started to eat some of my yummy wings.   ~*~*~*~**~*~*~ After a long practice, I get inside my car and turned on my engine and made sure my air conditioning was hitting me in the face. Good gosh that practice was intense. Plus, it was hot as hell outside. My phone then rings and I see it’s my mama calling. So, while rolling my eyes, I answer the call. “Macie, where are you?” My mama asks me. “Just got through cheer practice.” I tell her. “Hm, okay, well Marissa is coming home to visit, so I need you to go to Publix to pick up some groceries for dinner tomorrow.” She orders me. “Why is Marissa even coming home?” I ask her while putting on my seatbelt. “No time to explain, but she’s coming home tomorrow evening.” My mom says to me. Before I can say anything, my mama interrupts me. “Well hurry up child, I’m texting you a list right now of what to get.” My mama explains then hangs up the phone. Well then.
