✰ Chapter 10 ✰

1133 Words
The next day, it’s currently 6:30 pm, so I decided to bring home some dinner for me to have tonight, because I am too exhausted to cook any dinner, and my parents won’t be home till like 10 pm tonight from seeing my sister.  I’m kind of glad that she is at Florida State University. Because that’s ways away, and I made damn sure I am not going to go to that school. But I anyways decided to bring home my burrito chicken bowl, with chips and the medium green colored salsa, from Chipotle. “Hello bestie.” I tell Serena once I answer her phone call. “Hey, I wish we work longer shifts together.” Serena sighs. She worked an opening shift today at my store, till 2 pm. “Yeah, at least we saw each other today.” I tell her while walking upstairs and into my bedroom. All while I’m carrying my bag of goodies. “Yeah, it felt good, even though it was for a short amount of time.” She explains with a hint of sadness. I then put my phone on the foot of my bed and put it on speaker. “Did you talk to Adam yet?” I ask her, whilst turning on my room light. “Um yeah, I hit him up on i********:, and he gave me his number.” She tells me. “Well that’s good isn’t it?” I ask her once I sat down on my bed and turned on my laptop. I took my bowl out first, because I always eat it while it’s still hot. “Yeah it is, he didn’t follow me back on i********: till last night.” She tells me with an aggravated sigh. “Oh, well maybe he forgot.” I tell her while starting to eat my chicken. “I suppose so.” She sighs. “Don’t stress, become friends first, and then he’ll fall for you.” I tell her with my mouth kind of full. Thank goodness Charles isn’t here, because I look ugly. “You really think so?” She asks me, while sounding hopeful. “I do.” I tell her. “Well thank you.” She tells me. “No problem, I’ll see you tomorrow.” I tell her. “See you tomorrow.” She says. Then I hang up and start watching Grey’s Anatomy on Netflix whilst finishing up my burrito bowl. Gosh I’m in love with this show. Of course, I love Pretty Little Liars secondly.   ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ As I was eating the rest of my chips, I hear a knock at my bedroom door, making me roll my eyes and pause my show. “That’s going to make you fat.” I hear my mama sigh. This made me look up at her. “Oh, hey mom, so glad you’re home.” I say sarcastically. Making her roll her eyes. “I’m going to bed.” She just said then left my bedroom. I un paused my show and kept watching it. I then see my phone light up from the corner of my eye, and I look to see it’s a text message from Marissa. Missed you for parents’ weekend. :/ Making me roll my eyes but send her a text message back. Had my last first football game. Sorry. I sighed then dipped a chip in my salsa.  My phone then buzzed yet again. Oh, that’s cool, well I got to go I just looked at her message then rolled my eyes yet again. No way am I replying to that. So, I just continue to watch my show the rest of the night.   ~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~ The next day, I put my hair in a high ponytail, and a black Guy Harvey fitted t-shirt, with light denim shorts, and my favorite pair of black flip flops. I then grab my backpack, car keys, and phone and then get out of room. Once I make it downstairs, my mom and dad were talking to each other at the dining room table. “Oh, come join us, Marissa finally found herself a boy, I say we celebrate.” My mama explains. “Oh, that’s great.” I say then walk up to the table. But I grabbed myself a French toast, and then walk away through the front door. “Wait, but what about breakfast?” I hear my daddy ask. But I had already closed the door and then walk up to my car. I put my cheer bag in my car last night, so I don’t have to worry about it this morning. I turned my car engine on, and then pulled out of the driveway. While I am driving, Charles called me on the phone, and I answered but left my phone on my lap and put it on speaker phone. “Morning beautiful.” He tells me, and I can hear him driving. “Hello handsome, are you ready for school?” I ask him. “Ha, not really baby.” He sighs in annoyance. Making me chuckle. “Aw, well you get to see me, I hope that will cheer you up.” I explained to him. “That always cheers me up beautiful.” He explains right away. This makes me blush. Thank goodness he can’t see me. “Thank you, babe.” Was all I said still blushing. “No problem my honey.” He tells me with a small chuckle. Damn him. That sounds hot. “I need to focus on driving.” I mumbled. I finally stopped blushing so much. “Yeah so do I beautiful, just thinking about you is getting me some morning wood.” He laughs. “Oh my gosh Charles.” I tell him turning on my blinker. “What? I thought we need to be truthful to each other.” He says acting so innocently. This boy. “Well yeah, but that’s a little too much information.” I say as a matter of fact. “Will you help it? Just meet me at my car when we get there.” Charles explains now turning on his blinker. “Ugh, we’ll talk about this at school.” I say blushing again. Dammit! “Yeah in my car.” He chuckles. “I got to go horn dog.” I tell him. “Alright babe, see you in a few.” He says. I then hang up. Good gosh Charles Tyler Anderson.
