**Chimes**
With the flutter of wind, the chimes on windows start to ring. Every time they ring, I can feel calmness seep into me. I still remember the day when we got these. We were so happy; it was our first date after our marriage. We both were just roaming around in streets of Thailand, holding each other's hand. Just us and our lovely days. It's already been three months since then. Time flies fast. It should be time for him to come back. I should prepare dinner, I guess.
**Chimes**
Huh. Why do I feel weak all of a sudden? I should take a seat. As soon as I sit, my body felt a little better, but even then, I feel like throwing up.
**Chimes**
*Doorbell rings*
He is here. I should go and open the door. But why do I feel so weak? I can't even stand up, and this drowsiness. I try with all my might to at least shout that I am in this situation. But even my voice won't come out. I feel helpless. And drowsiness keeps overtaking me inch by inch until I succumb to it.
...
Did she go out somewhere? I don't think she had any plans like that today, neither she did drop a message of any impromptu plans I believe. I believe I had a spare key in my bag, I suppose. I rustle through my bag and take out the key and open the door.
"Hey, babes. You here?"
I try to call out to see if she was at home. No reply. When I enter the hall, I see a silhouette of someone sitting on the chair. I reach out, and I am sure she is there as I place a hand on her shoulder, no reply. I look at her face; it's white and looks cold dead. I panic. I shake her, but there is no response. I hurriedly reach out to my phone, to call an ambulance.
**Chimes**
A sudden weakness shutters my legs; I can't even stand up. I fell right where I was standing. Reaching to the phone seems very difficult. I am feeling drowsiness, as well.
**Chimes**
Suddenly, both the man and woman who were lying on the floor and the chair stood up. The colour on their faces we're back to normal. Both looked at each other and silently and passionately hugged each other. It looked like they both might just cry at any moment. Their eyes were moist, and both looked like they were meeting each other the first time in decades.
**Chimes**
As soon as they heard the chimes, both of them had their eyes taken over dread. They looked at the wind chime on the window. They pulled it down and threw that thing out. They didn't want to be anywhere near that thing. Only after they threw it out, they again looked at each other started to cry.
Both didn't say why they cried, but no one ever knew the story that caused all this pain and suffering, that was never known to anyone. Ever.
