Chapter 10
Vanessa's POV
There were loud bangs as several hostile knocks kept sounding against my door. It kept going on that I became scared. I lied down on the bed and covered myself with the sheets.
Life in the concubine's quarters would have been enjoyable for me but the concubines made it hell for me. They were always attacking me in numbers anytime I stepped out of my quarter.
The security guard given to me by Alpha Axel, couldn't handle the situation. It was becoming unbearable for me. Alpha Axel couldn't visit everytime he wanted as he was always busy with state affairs.
The concubines continued knocking until I felt like dying. Suddenly, I heard receding footsteps as if they were running away. Immediately after that, a gentle knock sounded.
"Open the door, it's me!" Alpha
