Purple howler

*Axel’s P.O.V.*

My name is Axel Sullivan, and I am the future alpha of the Full Moon pack. Today my pack and I are switching schools due to rogues, no one is happy about it, but we’ve heard good things about this school. As soon as we pull into the school I headed inside to get everything situated. While I was walking out of the office towards my locker I heard the most powerful growl ever, it even shakes the ground. I turned around trying to see who made the growl when a girl ran into me. Her smell was intoxicating it smelled of coconuts and vanilla. “And you are?” Does she know who I am talking to an Alpha like that? “Name’s Axel, me and my pack are new here.” She busted out laughing, what’s so funny? “Okay Axel, just stay out of my way.” She stated, but it hurt. Why did it hurt? “Mate!” My wolf Jackson yelled as she was walking away. I probably looked like a creep staring at her in all of our classes, but I really didn’t care. She was the most beautiful being I’ve ever laid my eyes on. During lunch I decided to ask the packs soon to be nurse Ashley who the girl is. “Her name is Cassandra, and I fear that something terrible is going on at home.” Jackson suddenly stirred telling me she was near. I saw her buy a bottle of water and leave. “Does she ever eat?” I ask Ashley. “No, and she thinks she’s fat, and she hates the way she looks.” I thank Ashley and follow my mate to the football field. What is she even doing here? She is too far into her thoughts that she doesn’t even realize i’m here. She runs extremely fast, and I can see the sadness in her eyes. Her metallic purple hair flowing behind her makes her look like she’s not even real. I hadn’t realized I was staring at her the whole time until the bell makes us both snap out of our thoughts. She walks towards the bleachers for her water when she realizes I am here. “May I help you?” How is she not out of breath? “How do you run that fast, and why don’t you eat?” I ask. “That’s for me to know and you to never find out.” Jeez this woman. Before I can say anything something hit my stomach. I fall on the ground unconscious. The next time that I wake up I’m in the woods. How did I get here? Where’s Cassandra? “Cassandra?” I start coughing and try to sit up, but it hurts. “Hey, I’m here It’s okay. Don’t move you’ll hurt yourself more, you was shot by silver. How did she know that she is just a human. “Yeah right.” Jackson chimes in. “I was what and where are we?” “You was shot by my foster dad and he shot you with silver, because he hunts werewolves, and I carried you out here. Oh, by the way John’s laying right there unconscious.” She just told me everything like it was nothing, she adapts so well. She will be a great Luna. Wait, does she know about werewolves. “Wh…” “shhh someone is coming.” She just cut me off. I smell a rogue. “Cassandra it’s not safe, you need to get out of here!” Before she could reply I heard a growl, I can’t get up to help my mate. “She will die because we’re weak.” I tell Jackson. She growls back and the ground shakes. She must have been that wolf that growled this morning. “Show yourself pup.” She demands. So she does know about us wolves. Is she one also how can she growl when she smells human? A rogue steps out from behind the trees and shifts. “I am so sorry for the trouble ma’am please just let me go I am hunting for my family.” The rogue looks terrified standing in front of her. “You may leave, but next time be careful.” The rogue shifted and ran for his life. I am so confused at what just happened. “Cassandra, help me up please.” She walked over toward me and helped me up. As soon as she did she fell to the ground holding her head. “CASSANDRA!” I see her eyes glazed over like she’s mindlinking, but I know she’s not. Something else is going on here. The glazed film over her eyes disappeared as I see the pain and guilt in her eyes. She takes off towards deeper in the woods I follow her, but she’s so fast. I see her dive into the water. Which happens to be the same color as her hair. I was about to walk in with her when she stopped me. “Stay away, I don’t want to hurt you.” What is she talking about. I’ll stay at the bank just in case. “Ahhhhhhhh” She yells out in pain, that’s it I’m going in. “Stay back Axel!” Okay I couldn’t move like she made me stay right where I was. She dove under water, and the water turns from the darkest black back to metallic purple. A wolf jumped out of the water and landed onto the shore. I was walking towards her because she was my beautiful mate. She was the unexpected. She suddenly sniffs the air then jumps right in front of me. I watch her get shot as she was too fast for me to even help her. She saved me once again. She lunged at the guy I assumed to be John, and snapped his neck. She shifted back into her human form with her clothes on. How did she do that? I see the blood spilling from her stomach as she fell over. I ran over to her as she started to close her eyes. “Cassandra! Listen to me baby, it’s going to be okay I will help you just hold on.” She lost consciousness as I mind like Ashley “Ashley get to the lake that’s behind the woods and hurry Cassandra was shot with silver!” My wound hurt like crap, and the silver was keeping me from healing. I was just keeping myself up because my mate needs me. I see Ashley running towards me as she has brought my beta Will. I am very thankful for that right now.”Where is she Axel?” I hand Cassandra to Will as Ashley helps me up. “We need to get to the pack house and fast they are both shot up with silver.” Ashley and will quicken their pace as we are in our cars on the way to the house Cassandra sits up extremely fast. “Where are you guys taking me?” she asks her voice is a little hoarse. “Be careful baby you were shot by silver.” I try to calm her. She then lifts her shirt and pulls the silver bullet out of her stomach and holds it like it was a trophy. How is it not burning your hands. “You mean this is what is supposed to kill your kind?” She says it like it’s a joke. She then lifts my shirt and takes the bullet out extra careful as it didn’t even hurt. I look at her in amazement as she smiles back at me. Will stops the car and looks at Cassandra like she’s the last of our kind. “You’re Cassandra Williams, Ben Williams and Sarah Williams daughter aren’t you?” Will asks her. She just nods. “I am so sorry for your lost but ma’am you’re a purple howler.” Me and Ashley both gasp it all makes so much sense now. “Yes, I am the last purple howler, and yes I am the Alpha’s daughter. And I am the reason they are dead.d.” Her breath hitches. “If you don’t mind me asking, what happened?” What is Will doing. “I have different power more than just a purple howler, I accidentally flipped the car we were in that night and they died and I ran. I should have stayed and helped them, but something told me to run.” I look at her confused. “Your parents were never found. We just thought they ran away.” I try to explain, but she doesn’t want to hear it. She holds her head again. “Ahhhhhhh” she yells out in pain. She gets out of the car and shifts she starts circling the car so we can’t get out. All of a sudden at least a hundred rogues come out to attack she does something with her head and we can not get out of the car no matter what. Even the windows are unbreakable. All we can do is watch as she fights. She is fighting all the rogues and is not even getting a scratch. She then gets to the last rogue and shifts to her human form, and so does he. They look so similar as I hear will say “Oh s**t, that’s her dad.” I watch as they talk and then she hugs him and he yells at her “Do it now!” She then kills him and she falls to the ground crying. What just happened. The barrier around the car suddenly falls. I ran over to her, but before I get to her she lets out a blood hurling scream. The scream makes the ground shake and trees begin to fall. She starts floating into the air as she stops screaming. When I see her eyes they are no longer blue. They’re black. We all step back as she lands back on the ground. She looks at her dad's body and grows a purple orchid out of her hand and plants it the orchid turns into more orchids as it covers her dad's body. She then looks back at us. “I’m sorry.” she says it with so much hurt it makes me want to cry. She then shift and howls the saddest howl ever. She runs off into the woods and I lost her scent. “I lost her Alpha, she is nowhere to be found.” my pack members inform me from the link. “Go home guys, it’s my problem not y'all's.” I was left alone in the middle of the woods. Jackson and I both want to see our mate. We know she’s hurt and there’s nothing we can do about it.
