Finding her

*Luke’s P.O.V.(Axel’s dad)*

After Axel told me everything that happened today including finding his mate, I felt bad for the kid. He had grown up always waiting for his mate, he never went around having s*x like normal boys do. Me and his mother we very proud of our son. When I heard her name the breath got knocked out of me. Cassandra’s father Ben was the strongest Alpha of his days, so when he called me one night and asked me to be on the lookout for his daughter and keep her safe I had to. When Cassandra was younger I used to take her to get ice cream when her parents had to go to work, she was my daughter too. When I found out where she was I moved the pack, the whole pack except my wife thought it was because of rogues. I decided to contact her foster dad and bribed him with money stating “I need your daughter to sell her for the night she will be back before you’re awake. I will pay you ten thousand dollars for her.” I got so mad that he actually agreed I almost sent my beta to kill him. He allowed me to take her to school one morning and she obviously didn’t remember who I was. I was just good to see her alive. A couple of days after she disappeared I knew where she would have went. I went directly to her waterfall and growled. This is where we used to play marco polo with growls. She has to be alive. I see her walk towards me as she remembers me from a couple of days ago. I thought you died with your foster dad, when I saw he was attacked by wolves i just assumed they took you.” I make up a lie real quick, I hate lying to her. “Who are you and why do you care about me?” She just used her Alpha tone on me. “Calm down Cassandra, I am your mate’s father.” I see her breath hitch in her throat. “You’re Axel’s dad?” It’s a me a Mario. “Cassandra he’s worried about you honey.” I try to explain to her, but her eyes tell me she already knew. “Can you tell him to meet me at my dad’s grave in two hours.” “Yes, oh and Cassandra I won’t tell him where I found you.” “Thank you sir.” I turned around to leave when I hear a painful scream coming from her. I rush to her side. “Cassandra can you hear me? Just hold on it’ll be over soon.” A couple of guys who know her come out from behind the waterfall. They were talking while taking her inside. After a second they left me inside and I rushed to her side. “Hold on honey it’s going to be okay.” I whisper to her. She looks at all of us and in a low voice she says “Lock down the house something is coming.” Then she went unconscious. The two boys rush her deeper into the freaking mansion I almost got lost. They lead us to a hospital part of the house, and they set her on a bed. “Alpha Luke she needs her rest, you are allowed to stay with her. She will be awake in a couple of minutes.” “Thank you boys.” The boys left me with her and as they said after a couple of minutes she came to. “Alpha Luke sorry about that I just haven’t had the best days here lately. Damian!” She yells jesus she almost busted my eardrums. Sensing my discomfort she then says “Sorry.” I nod as she is forgiven. The kid who I assume is Damian walks in. “Yes Alpha?” “Get ready we are taking this gentleman back home and seeing my mate.” “Yes Alpha.” He walks away and she starts to get up. “Are you sure you’re ready to get up or even walk?” “Alpha no offense, but I am much stronger than normal Alphas.” I knew that already so I just let her do her thing. In the next fifteen minutes we are walking out from underneath the waterfall. As soon as we get to her dad’s grave she stiffens, then growls. “What’s wrong?” Damian asks her “Get behind me I am going to put a barrier around you two.” Before I can refuse Damian grabs my arm and she puts the barrier around the both of us. When did she learn that. The next thing I know a coven of vampires steps closer out of the shadows. She lifts her hands and puts a barrier over the sky where we are so they don’t get burnt. She then meets their head guy in the middle of the clearing. I see him bow down to her and leave, but not before a hunter steps out to shoot him. She steps right in front of the vampire and takes the bullet. She then instantly runs and snaps the head of the hunter and the barrier around me and Damian falls, but the sky barrier stays intact. “Cassandra!” I hear the vampire say. “It’s fine I’m fine.” She states like she wasn’t shot with silver. She takes the silver bullet out of her shoulder and says “Silver doesn’t hurt me and I will be looking forward to next week James.” With that the vampires walk off and she walks toward her father’s body that’s covered with her flowers. She then lifts herself off of the ground and builds a teepee of flowers over him. I mind-link Axel “Your mate is here hurry up.” Axel arrives thirty seconds later taking Cassandra to the ground into a hug. Damian growls “Get off of my Alpha!” “Damian it’s okay he’s my mate” Cassandra assures him. We let the two talk as we walk into the woods that is until I heard Cassandra howl.
