Case 101

“What? ----you mean all the myths about Southdale are for real?” – Alice shockingly said

Christian and Liza went to Alice’s place and called Kevin as well. Alice lived alone at her home because her parents were in New York and she was waiting for high school and after that, she had a plan to shift to New York as well. Since Kevin loved her a lot, so he decided to go with her and so as Christian and Liza. They decided to involve them in the plan because Kevin could help to find the truth as his father was the present Sheriff of the town.

“Yes Honey---and I researched it on my own” – Liza replied

“Christian and I went to visit the son of Stephen Robertson and got to know that twenty years ago---Glinda Jennings death was not a suicide but a murder.” – she added

“So whoever killed her---had the curse breaker right now ----and he or she is in the town” – Alice added

“I’m headed to Manhattan to find Stephen Robertson” – Christian replied

“And let me guess--- Liza needs my help to find the list of crimes that happened twenty years back” – Kevin added

“That’s right Kevin Clever and ---Alice will help us to distract the Sheriff----since he likes her a lot” – Liza chuckled

“Oh yeah ---the Steeles love her” – Kevin replied and side hugged Alice

“Case 101—Finding the curse breaker” –Alice screamed and moved her hand in front of everyone.

Everyone in the room put their hands on her and they laughed.

“She is here---just in the middle of the town---next to the Southdale High” – Alexander said to his army while pointing towards the huge map which was perfectly aligned with the round table at his living area.

All twenty hybrids were settled in Alexander’s magical house and waiting for the birthday of the curse breaker. They all were planning to attack and were playing safe.

“Just after a month on 16th October---we will have access to enter the town and we will catch her and hide her until 28th January which is what?” – Alexander smiled

“The Wolf Moon night” –All hybrids chorused and raised the toast of blood they had in their glasses

“But what will we do until the full moon.” – Chloe asked

“The town and its citizens are all yours” – he chuckled

“I can smell it” – Jacob (the other hybrid) said

“But what about the vampires who are guarding at the boundaries of the town?” – Rosie asked

“All of you have to engage them and I’ll go after that little witch since they don’t know who is she---so I'm sure that they don’t know about her birthday as well --- we need to trap them smartly” – Alexander replied and smiled

“Toast to the freedom” – Chloe announced the toast

“Toast to the key of freedom” – Jacob giggled

Everyone toasted and an evil smile appeared on Alexander’s face.

 Christian left for Manhattan the next morning to find the Stephen Robertson in SoHo. On the other hand, Liza and Alice went to Kevin’s place when his father Sheriff Steele was at the police station. They wanted to check the previous files of crimes recorded in Southdale to find a clue about Glinda's murder. They both reached the house in the morning and knocked on the door and Kevin opened the door. 

"Come on in---- Dad still at home" —he whispered and hugged both of them 

"Hey girls ---" — he added a little loud to portray his father that everything is normal

"Don't overreact" — Liza whispered while hugging her

girls got in when Sheriff Steele was heading to the office. They both hugged him as well one by one. 

"Alice--- I miss you honey---- " — The sheriff said

"I miss you too--- you know graduation things ----but now we are giving Liza the farewell party today--- hope you won't mind" — she smiled hesitantly 

"Liza? —where are you going?" — he asked curiously 

"To London--- for college" — Liza smiled 

"Why London and why not NYU with Kevin and Alice?" — he asked 

"No clue---- it's Dad's decision" — she replied and shoot her shoulders

"Ah--- your old man is still stubborn" — he chuckled 

"But wait--- government just restricted to travel out of the town--- how would you manage?" — he curiously asked

"I again have no idea-----dad said we can go" — she replied 

"Well then----your father will see tomorrow" — he giggled 

"Alright kids---- have fun!" — the sheriff said and left 

As he left the house and They saw from the kitchen window his car was going towards the main road. Kevin ran towards his dad's study room.

"it's locked" —Kevin disappointedly whispered

"Ah Kevin---- why didn't you steal the keys from your father" — Liza sighed 

"No problem ---- I can unlock it" — Alice interrupted and she took the Bobby pin from her hair and started unlocking the door.

After few seconds, she successfully unlocked the door and then they entered the room. They firstly overviewed the room which was no less than a crime scene. Everywhere pictures of murders and kidnappings and blood and animal attacks. 

"Hats off to your father Kev--- how does he bear all this" — Alice shockingly said

"Yeah--- I want to appreciate him as well" — he replied 

"Look! This is the recent animal attack case photographs" — Liza called them towards the wall.

"This is definitely not an animal attack" — Alice said while looking at the photographs of ripped heads

"Find the files of this case--- it is the most recent one---- surely something will be written about the hybrids in it---- or maybe the curse breaker" — Kevin said 

they started finding the recent case file. They checked all the drawers, cupboards, and boxes. Alice went to the table of Sheriff Steele and checked all the drawers of the office table.

“Bingo! ---- Don’t waste your time noobs ----The lady Sherlock Homes is in action now.” –She proudly said while taking off the file from the second drawer.

“Oh baby ---you are awesome” –Kevin excitedly ran towards her and put the file on the table.

“Such a Drama Queen! ----Come on, open it” –Liza sighed and ran towards the file.

Alice opened the file and on the other hand, Sheriff Steele came back to the home. He forgot his keys to the office and came to take them but when he heard no voice from the kids, he curiously went upstairs to check them. As he saw his office door opened, he hurriedly came inside and saw them reading the case files. 

“What the hell?” – he shockingly said

They all saw him and got shocked. Alice hurriedly closed the file and stood straight next to Kevin.

“Can anybody explain to me what’s going on here?” – he screamed

“We---A----We need information about our upcoming article about the animal attack in the woods” – Kevin stammered

“Article for what?” – Sheriff Steele asked

“For---School” – he replied

“What School Kev? Your school is over now” – Sheriff Steele screamed

“We need to investigate the murder of Glinda Jennings” – Liza hurriedly interrupted to break the tension between father and son

“The murder of what? ---” – Sheriff Steele shockingly replied

Christian was in Manhattan; he reached to SoHo and found a small house near the woods. He easily reached Stephen Robertson's house by compelling people. He knocked on the door and an old man opened the door. He overviewed Christian and his smiling expression changed into serious.

“Christian Cooper” – The old man coldly said

“Hi Stephen---Long time no see!” – Christian chuckled

“What do you want?” – he asked

“Just want to talk--- about some old mysteries” – Christian replied

Stephen was about to close the door but Christian held it. Stephen tried hard to close it but he couldn’t. Christian saw him trying so hard and he smiled and pushed his hand slightly away from the door but as Stephen was old and weak, he couldn’t bear it and screamed while holding his wrist.

“Now please----can you invite me in” – Christian smiled.

Sheriff Steele was sitting in the living room with the kids. He was glaring at them and Kevin and Alice were so confused. Meanwhile, Liza was confident enough and deep-down little bit glad that at least Sheriff Steele agreed to answer their questions. 

"Do you guys know; you all can go jail for putting your noses into confidential data" - Sheriff growled 

"Sheriff Steele --- we know the consequences but right now--- there are much bigger problems that need our attention instead of us breaking the laws" - Liza replied 

"Ask what you want to know?" - He sighed 

"Actually, we are behind the curse breaker --- and we already are really close to finding her" - she curiously said 

"The what? --- What curse breaker? what are you talking about? And how do you know Glinda?" - he exhaustedly replied 

"Well dad --- things are not easy as you are trying to portray in front of us---- we already know about hybrids and Glinda was the mother of curse breaker----and she is being murdered that your authorities classified as a suicide" - Kevin added 

"Ok---then, let me tell you a long story short" - Sheriff sighed
