AVA’S POV.
I shot to my feet, my eyes going wide, “What? Which maid was it? What is her name?”My feet already carried me straight to her without knowing it, and my hands clamped around her shoulders.
“Uh… no, it's not what you think. I… I don't know her. I barely saw her. And I suspect she did it.” She said and air rushed past my lips, as I bowed my head, my hands still on her shoulder.
“Thank you.” I said softly, feeling my hopes crash like a waterfall. I let my hands slip off her shoulders, and took a few steps back. “You may leave now.”
She asked, tentatively, “Will you be okay?”
“Yes, thanks once again.” I placed both hands over my face, as she walked out, “Don't close the door.” I ordered, quickly.
“I won't.”
That unknown maid was definitely the one who did that to my room.
