Something's Serious

Aiden's POV

It’s the next day after the rouge attack, we all are in the dining hall having our breakfast. When we were in the safety room waiting for someone to inform us that we can go out, a guard came to us inform using that the war is over, and we all can move and go to our families. Hearing that, everyone rushed out to find their family, and while my mind was full of questions for which I wanted the answers. But seeing everyone especially all my mum and dad, my questions just flew away somewhere back in my mind, and only concern was there now looking how much injuries they were having. But now, when they are all fine and recovered I was again eager to ask my dad about it, because of having their wolf, they recover faster than the humans, and upon that he is the alpha, so that makes him core faster.

“Ask what you want to, son?” said my dad suddenly looking at mHuhHuhh..” I was blank at the moment as I did expect him to know that I was having questions running in my mind. But who am I talking about here, my dad, he always knows it when I’m thinking or having questions about any matter.

He raises his eyebrow asking me to spill the beans. “Umm… dad the attack yesterday what was it about?” I asked him carefully.

“Why are you asking this?” he asked;

“Nothing dad it’s because rouges attacking in such a big group is not a common thing. Before also rouge attacks happened but I don’t know why this time it seems different.” I reply;

“Hmm… son your point is right but right now you don’t have to worry. Just focus upon your training, there’s not much time left.” He said.

“Dad dad, this my pack also and in some weeks, I can be the alpha if I will find my mate. So…” I was saying only, but my dad interrupted;

“Yeah, you are going to be the alpha of this pack soon, but right now you are not, and when the time will come I will tell you about everything on my own. So for now, you just focus on pieces of training. OK?” He asked;

I just nodded my head in reply to him and continued eating my breakfast. Even though I was satisfied with id what Ave said in the safety room, but still I want to turn eighteen as soon as possible and find my mate. So that then I will be the alpha of the pack and will be able to take part in pack’s meetings and will get to know about what is going on. Because seeing my dad, I have this feeling that something is definitely serious and I want to be there next to him and support him.

“Sharp 10 at the training ground.” Saying this he got up from his seat and took off towards his office, not even waiting for my reply.

“Huff..” huffing I also finish my food along with others and got back to my room hours later

“Dodge Aiden, you should not let your enemy even touch you, your body must contact only when you beat him or toss him,” Dad yells at me.

Today, I’m dueling against the leader of the warriors, of our pack, ‘Kian Labrant’. Why is he the warrior’s leader, I can clearly see that while dueling with him. His tricks are tough ones, but when he applies this it seems so easy. Even, he had taught me those tricks and I had tried them while dueling with him, but they are so difficult and he dodges them very swiftly. And even tosses me back on the ground, without even giving a chance to move. I am just mesmerized looking at him, and it just encourages me to focus and improve my skills.

Now only, I have to make myself capable of giving good competition to my dad and Kian. As these two are the best and strongest. The skills which they hold should are not easy, and as I had a duel with other warriors, so now I just have to defeat these two. And I will definitely be able to. Determining this, I again concentrated on learning and dueling.

After the whole six hours of training, walking through the pack, feeling the soothing breezes on my skin, and due to all the sweat from training it feels more amazing, also I am so so exhausted but these breezes are making the walk worth it. These pieces of training just take away all my energies, but also now I am feeling the change in myself; be it physically or mentally. Also now I feel very active and feel less exhausted comparing to the week before. Pieces of training are exhausting but are worth it, were the words my dad used to say to me at the starting of my training, seven years ago, when I was ten. Now, I can actually see that those words are so true, by the results which I can feel and see also.

Enjoying the cool breeze for an hour, I came back to the house and entering the house, a very tasty smell enters my nose, and my stomach growls, due to hunger. So, without freshening up I direct walked to the kitchen, where mum is busy cooking. “Hey, mum.” I greeted her.

“Hey baby, hungry?” she asked looking at me.

And I just nodded my head and she comes out of the kitchen with a bowl in her hand.

“Here.” She says, keeping the bowl in front of me.

“Chicken soup, thank you, mum,” I said while having a spoonful of soup.

“Be careful, it’s hot.” She warns me, but before the soup was already down my neck.

“AHHHH AHHHH,” screaming I took the jug and drank water directly from it. My mouth was burning due to the soup which was very much hot.

“You should be careful while having something. “ Mumm scolded me.

“I was just too much hungry mum, and it was smelling so good that I didn’t pay that much attention,” I replied.

“OK ok now be careful and have it,” She said to me and again started cooking.

Finishing the soup, I washed the bowl and kept it. Hugging and kissing my mum's cheeks, I headed towards my home and I saw Kyler going towards my room, and I called him.

“Hey moron, what’s up?” I asked him.

“Hey nut head, nothing just wanted to have some talk with you.” He replies rolling his eyes.

“Let’s go, then,” I said and we headed towards our room.

Entering my room I asked him, “come on, now spill the beans, bro. what did you do now?” well knowing that if he is finding me knowing my busy schedule then it means something’s going on.

“Nothing big, It’s just that I have a date tomorrow.” He said, not meeting my eyes.

“What? How? I mean you are not eighteen that means, she is not your mate.” He shook his head in response. Then how can you go to someone on a date who is not your mate? What will your mate think when you will find her and she will get to know this?” I asked.

“Huff, I know bro even I didn’t want to accept this, but the girl who asked me is a human and I was just not able to deny her. It was as if she will cry the moment I will reject her. So…” He finished and slumped his body down on my bed.

Following him, I also slumped on my bed and said “yeah, I understand brother, it’s difficult to reject when a sweet girl asks you out. Even after knowing that you have a mate out there. It’s such a bad feeling, that you have broken someone’s heart knowing they don’t want any harm.” I said

“Yeah but tomorrow, on our date I will clear her everything,” he said.

“You sure do that. Otherwise, you know very well, what will happen, if anyone gets to know that you have a date with someone who is not your mate.” I warned him.

“That’s why I came to you, to make sure that nobody gets to know about this.” He said.

I knew this from before him saying. Smiling I said, “Yeah, yeah I will just relax and go.” Then giving me a tight hug, as a gesture to thank, he exits my room.

Getting up from my bed, I got to the bathroom to have a hot shower and relax. As I came out of the bathroom, Aves enters my room without knocking, busy with something doing on her laptop. But as she raised her head to say something, she turned away noticing that I’m only in a towel.

“Sorry, sorry” she squeaked, and again said, “sorry, I didn’t know that you were in the bathroom and barged in like that, I should have knocked. I’m so so sorry…” she kept saying until I interrupted her, “It’s OK Aves, it’s not your fault, I should have locked the door. You have permission to barge in my room without knocking. So, that’s fine. And you can turn now, I’m completely dressed.” I said to her with a chuckle.

Turning back again she sighed after seeing that I’m really dressed and then a smile came on her face which was completely red by now. “So, what is the problem with your lappy, red face?” I asked teasing her, she looks very adorable when she blushes. She replied stammering, “huh… i-it’s, I-I don’t know w-what’s the problem, I-It’s not getting on?” looking everywhere but not me.

“Relax girl, why are you stammering? Come, let me see what is the problem?” I said to her and then we got involved in repairing her laptop.
