“ To McDonald's ” Chris told the driver thier destination.
“ McDonald's ? ” both Maya and Skyler said in unison with wide eyes.
“ Uh-huh ” Chris said and nobody said anything again as silence reighed between them. Chris sat in-between Skyler and Maya.
Skyler was focused looking out of the window, but Maya on the other hand tried to breath due to her closeness with Chris.
Their shoulders were touching, her breath hitched as this was the first time to be so close with Chris.
Chris felt her discomfort and asked “ are you not comfortable ”
“ Oh, I am ” Maya said.
“ Are you sure cause I ..... ”
“ It's alright, I'm fine ” Maya said and looked outside the window. When she felt Chris wasn't looking at her anymore she breathed a sigh of relief.
