Meeting Jonathon

She did not pass out. She wished that she would in order not to feel the pain. The pain was almost unbearable. She seemed to have hurt her ankle and some inner parts, perhaps cracked some bones. Overall, she looked like a mess. Her clothes were ripped and the few, which were left intact, were drained with blood. She vaguely recognized that Silver and Matt, other two well-known fighters in the pack, were supporting her and carrying her to the pack doctor, Susan. They glanced nervously at the man, who was fighting to control Jack. Susan, the pack’s doctor, was shocked to see the 2nd daughter of the Alpha in the state she was carried in. She was holding her rips and limping around. After having the first check on her injuries she suggested Gloria to clean up before her father would come back. She was already healing but the process itself was painful as well. Susan had informed Jack the Alpha about his daughter being at the infirmary. Gloria changed into other clean clothes and tidied herself as much as possible. Looking in the mirror, there was a bruised woman looking back at her. As soon as she was somehow representable, her father barged in and started shouting for the next 5 minutes. She knew that everyone could hear him. He had a loud voice, but it had gotten even higher “What the hell are you doing? I told you to behave and not embarrass ourselves in front of our visitors! I am so disappointed in you!” The next moments continued with similar wordings and insults for her. She was close to tears and was stunned about his reaction. She was injured and was hoping for some sympathy instead he was hurting her feelings more. She did not voluntarily provoke Jack. She silently started to cry and could not hold it back anymore. She did not like crying in front of others and knew that her father saw it as a weakness, but she could not hold it anymore. He looked at her disgusted and said whilst leaving “What a weak daughter I have. A woman should not fight. That is a man’s job. You can return when you are representable and not before that. Shelia will be taking care of the guests in the meanwhile” She had put her hands on her wet eyes and tried to stop herself from crying more. Since she was in such an emotional turmoil, she missed to feel the presence of another person entering the room. She was asked by an unfamiliar male voice: “Are you ok?”. She shrieked and looked through her tears towards a good-looking man. He was strong built and tall. A handsome man with serious features. She knew immediately that it was her savior. “Yes, thanks to you.” She wiped away the tears with the arm, which hurt less. “I am sorry that you are seeing me in this state.” “This state is better than the one I saw you half an hour ago.” She blushed and was embarrassed. A complete stranger had to save her from an attack of one of her own pack members. He had come closer and was standing in front of her whilst she was sitting on the small bed of the infirmary. She touched his arm to say thank you. As soon as she touched him sparks flew throughout her body. Her eyes widened. He seemed less surprised. “What is happening?” she stuttered confused. She had gone through so many different emotions within one day and was a mess. She did not recognize the situation, she was in. He said one word “Mate”. It was indeed explanation enough. There was a small smile lingering on his lips. She was still touching his arm and let slowly go of him whilst looking up at him directly into his eyes. He had an intense look. She was lost for words. Whenever, she had imagined the scenario of finding her mate it would not have been even in her most daring dreams after a beat up, bleeding and her mate seeing another male on top of strangling her and having been scolded and shouted from her father. She put her hands in front of her eyes to hide her embarrassment. He gently but firmly grabbed her hands, again there were tingles exploding all over their skin. Both of their eyes widened on how their bodies were reacting to each other. His eyes had become gentle. “Don’t be embarrassed. You fought well but his sheer strength and his wolf going crazy on you did not help the situation.” He continued by saying grimly “I took care of him.” She stared shocked at him and almost did not dare to ask the question: “Is he dead?” “No, since Niels my Beta intervened. Otherwise I am not sure what I would have done.” Her hands were still in his and she looked up and said with an emotional loaded voice, “Thank you for saving me.” He looked at her for a couple of seconds in silence. She responded to his look. He brought his hand up and tucked on of her hair back behind her ear. It was a simple gesture, but she blushed and could not look any more directly into his eyes. “I will check on you tomorrow. We are leaving in 2 days to my pack,” “Our pack Green Hill.” He corrected himself quickly. His face became gentle at the mentioning of that. “I will inform your father and ask his help in getting your suitcase prepared for our departure. Sleep well” She looked up with her bruised lips and starches on her faces but gentleness displaying in her eyes. Her heart was aching at the mentioning of “our” pack. “Ok.” He left soon afterwards the infirmary. Once he left, she recognized that she did not know his name and neither did he know hers as far as she was aware of it. Tired from the whole experiences of the day, she lied down at the little make shift bed and pulled a blanket on top of her. Since it was not, as comfortable as her bed, she thought that she would not be able to sleep that night. However, her tired body shut down and she feel asleep. She woke up to the noise of the door opening and almost jumped up seeing it was Jack her trainer. The man, who was ready to kill her. There was a look of remorse on his face. “What are you doing here?” she asked him accusingly. He was uncomfortable: “I am here to apologize for my behavior,” he stated calmly. “For almost killing me! Why did you go crazy on me? We have been training for months if not years and you choose today to try to kill me? I do not understand it.” She tried not to shout at him, having learnt that strong men did not react well to shouting and did not like to be questioned in general on their motives for especially the bad things they were doing. He looked at her directly with a certain emotion, she could not identify and said silently “You were getting better at fighting than me. My wolf could not tolerate it.” She looked at him dumbfounded and was for a moment speechless. “My wolf could not handle it and he attacked you.” He turned around and left the room and once again she was left alone in the room. This time she looked at him leaving with an unhidden surprise on her face plastered
