Dream Realm

In the deepest realm of dreams, Alexan found herself floating in somewhere she felt familiar with but never seen them before. It was really her first time seeing such beautiful surrounding like it was out of this world place. There’s a huge floating island with different creatures flying around it and it wasn’t chaotic but peaceful and harmony.
“What is this place?” she asked herself while looking around as she kept floating around them.
She didn’t know how to go down but she knew she was just dreaming. She took control of her dream and she finally landed safely on the grassy mountain. She walked around curiously and deeply in the forest she saw a stag with lots of horns.
“That’s not just a stag.” She thought to herself when somebody suddenly blew some air to her right ear.
She squealed as she jumped from it before falling onto her butt while covering her right ear. She’s surprised, nervous but most of it shaken up since she doesn’t know who did it.
“Well, that’s cute.” A familiar angelic and wind chimes voice spoke to her.
“Yume?” Alexan asked in confusion since the girl in front of her was not the same person she saw at the shop.
Yume looked like a Greek goddess of the place.
“Alexan.” Yume smiled lovingly to her as she helped her stood up from the grassy ground.
“This is my dream right?” Alexan asked her with puzzled tone.
“Maybe.” Yume replied while smiling like she was having fun seeing Alexan in the dream realm.
“Seriously, Yume…You’re scaring me.” Alexan said with shaky voice that made Yume took her hand and start walking.
“What I meant it’s yours but not at the same time.” Yume explained while walking through the peaceful forest.
“I don’t get what you mean.” Alexan honestly told her while her holding tightly to Yume like she doesn’t want to get lost within the dream realm.
“The realm of dream has many pathways and sometimes having strong will, you can control it whether to communicate to some old teachings or to meet somebody. There’s a lot of it and the more you go deeper, the more you open some gates that you might not ready to deal with.” Yume carefully explained to her as she greets the animals around the forest.
“Like?” Alexan wondered as she kept frighten to some animals with weird forms.
“Hm, opening your clairvoyance or opening your senses that you’re not aware of.” Yume answered as she tapped Alexan’s hand for her to look at the new scenery.
“Like what tarot readers or fortune teller can do?” Alexan asked before looking to what Yume wanted her to see.
“Hm, something like that.” Yume answered.
Alexan was amazed on how beautiful this dreamland because it was really Utopia. Yume was so glad that Alexan fear suddenly vanished when she saw the view.
“And this place?” Alexan asked as she looked back with eagerness of a kid into her eyes that made Yume chuckled and pinched her cheeks lightly.
“Well, it’s mine actually. It’s peaceful since I felt like I’m going to see you tonight.” Yume finally told her where she really was.
“Just like you said at the coffee shop.” Alexan nodded in understanding as she recalled what she told her before leaving the shop.
“I told you I’m a witch and this place is my own dreamland.” Yume chuckled as she guided Alexan down the stream.
“You can do it?” she asked again as she followed Yume’s track.
“Well, technically I didn’t. But through practicing meditation, my skills kept growing. So, I tried to make something within my dreams since in dreamland have tons of lines that could connect to anyone. Though they’re good and bad encounters actually.” Yume explained as she held Alexan’s hand.
“So you encountered danger in dreams as well?” Alexan asked like she never encountered one.
“Yes. Some are nightmares and some are night terrors like what everyone does but to me, all of them are telling me something that I should listen to.” Yume answered as took Alexan into some part of the streams where dark forest hid.
Yume pointed it and Alexan finally understood that in dreams it wasn’t always the good ones but also the bad ones. Yume showed her that then they went into some part of the forest where she could see every living creature. Alexan knew that some are fairies, dwarfs and other forests’ creatures that were guarding it.
Yume let Alexan relaxed there as they sat down underneath the very huge old cherry blossom tree. They were surrounded by nature.
“Don’t tell me, you’ve dreamed about us meeting at the coffees shop.” Alexan cut the silence as Yume took a seat next to her.
“Not exactly, I only dreamed that I’m going to eat and meet somebody there…” Yume chuckled as she recalled it but she didn’t say it entirely.
“Well, it’s beautiful like you.” Alexan complimented Yume who just smiled lovingly at her.
They were just sitting quietly and relaxed but the peacefulness suddenly shaken up that made the creatures hid themselves. Alexan as well frighten up like she was being pulled into something unseen and that alerted Yume as she held her closer to her.
“Control your dream, Alexan.” Yume plead but Alexan couldn’t hear for some reason.
“Alexan, listen to my voice, follow it please. Listen and meet me at the end. I’ll be waiting.” Yume continued on calling to Alexan frozen state.
Alexan was seeing nightmares from the dark forest like it was hunting her. It was her fears. She couldn’t do anything and the only thing she want was to wake up but she couldn’t. She couldn’t move nor to speak. Something wasn’t right until she heard a wind chimes; a voice that so
familiar to her.
“Y-Yume…” Alexan finally managed to speak and when she does, the worry from Yume suddenly vanished and tears began to fall.
“Thank God. You finally came back.” Yume cried that made Alexan speechless while watching her cried in relief.
Alexan felt some ached in her chest like it was burning when she saw Yume crying face. She knew its her fault for letting Yume worried for her. They were in dreamland anything was possible to happened and it could be a good or worst.
“I’m sorry, I made you worried.” Alexan apologized since she couldn’t take to see her cries for more.
“No, its not that. I let your fear entered this place and I’m sorry.” Yume shook her head and apologized to her instead,
“It’s okay. I’m alright now, aren’t I?” Alexan took her into her arms but Yume pushed away.
“But Alexan…I’m a witch who can manipulate dreams.” Yume confessed as her tears kept falling onto her face.
“You can control mine?” Alexan asked calmly.
“Of course not. But the only thing I can do was to stop those nightmares and terrors that’ve been hunting you.” Yume explained as she tried to wiped her tears away.
“Like a dreamcatcher?” Alexan chuckled as she compared Yume’s ability.
“You can say that I am.” She agreed with her with sad smile.
“Well, thank you then.” Alexan shook her head and smiled for her.
Alexan was indeed thankful that Yume was with her. She slightly wiped Yume’s remaining tear that made the atmosphere changed into something magically sweetly innocent heat. Their hearts are beating hard and loud enough to echoed through their ears. Alexan fixed her gaze to Magi as she did the same. Slowly they were leaning closer to each other till their forehead met that made them laughed.
“Interesting as always.” Yume said while meeting Alexan laughing eyes.
“And mysterious beautiful, indeed.” Alexan continued as she looked deeply into Yume’s eyes.
They were being innocent while looking at each other as the desire began to rose up and slowly but meaningful, their lips landed onto each other. For a small peck, the spark finally ignited something they were really trying to held since they met at the shop. It might too soon but for them it was beyond anything else.
When they part ways, sweet laughter between them echoed the entire dreamland.
“I’ve been kissed by my dreamcatcher.” Alexan said lovingly like a thorn was been lifted from her chest since she met her.
“Then better to wake up.” Yume chuckled as she stood up from the ground.
“Can I see you for real?” Alexan asked as she did the same.
“Maybe…” Yume smiled and Alexan vanished before her eyes.
Alexan finally woke up but Yume, it’s another story.
