Chapter 25 COLFAX When Colfax returned to the inn after a long day of casing the Isle, the front desk attendant handed him an envelope. “Message came for you while you were out,” the boy said. He couldn’t have been much older than Nolan. His red hair stuck up every which way, like he’d just rolled out of bed. Freckles dotted his cheeks and nose. “Thanks, kid.” “Have a nice evening, sir.” “You, too.” Once in his room, Colfax slid his finger under the silver flap and tore the envelope open.
