Chapter 30 TALULLAH “Now?” Talullah asked. Pale blue light diffused through the lanterns lining the hallway. She fidgeted with the clay rose in her pocket. “Afraid so,” Jothi said. “Come in.” They opened their door and stepped back, gesturing for Talullah to enter. “It’s late. I’m not really in the mood for a chat.” “I wouldn’t bother you if it wasn’t important. I promise. Please. I have tea.” “Alright, fine.” Talullah closed her own door and entered Jothi’s room.
