I stood there, gazing at my reflection in the mirror. The sudden visit from Ace's family had caught me completely off guard, leaving me in a state of disarray. In usual circumstances, meeting someone's parents required meticulous planning, including trips to the mall, getting manicures, pedicures, facials, haircuts, and at least a week of mental preparation. But I had none of that luxury. Frantically, I had grabbed a pair of mocha roll-top yoga pants, a cream ultra-slim fit camisole, and a lightweight, close-fitting zip-up hoodie with eye-catching stitching.
