Evelyn’s POV
The world didn't blur; it sharpened with agonizing, terrifying clarity.
"Well…" The darker Alpha’s voice was a low, structural vibration that seemed to rattle the very bones in my chest. He took a single, unhurried step over the pooling blood on the plastic sheeting. "Looks like we’ve found ourselves a witness."
