CHAPTER TWO
Was it another beast wolf again? Another creature? How Celine just preferred to be at peace with beastly beings!
“I think it's part of my fate to see these monsters always,” she grumbled, “even in my dreams, they still appear, not allowing me to enjoy my Alpha mate; my love for him will never fade, no matter what!”
So, she moved some inches far, from where she was standing, trying to figure out what she considered to have noticed.
Suddenly, Celine remembered the story of the maiden, which her grandfather told her, while he was alive. It said that, whenever the maiden heard footsteps or saw something strange, she should call the general name of that thing, and that it would appear. That's if it was the same thing!
So, Celine lifted her head and decided to raise her voice, but she was paused by a reasonable thought that came into her mind; she considered it good to approach whatever creature would appear, after the shout she was about to let out.
"Now, come out, you monster!" Celine screamed as if she had seen the one who voiced.
She heard nothing after this, not even a sound. And, she also did not perceive any steps of movement, at all.
"Maybe, you are a wolf! Come out, wolf!" Celine screamed again, “who knows if you're just that wolf!”
"Grrhhh!" A creature groaned afterwards.
Around Celine was a dark, gigantic, monstrous, blue-eyed and hairy wolf.
Since the beast was a wolf, more like a werewolf which he would be, Celine would not just see him as an ordinary beast, but a beast wolf - like the one she had met earlier.
Was he the same Dave, anyway?
As soon as the beast wolf stamped his foot under Celine's, she stopped him and greeted him.
"Can I know you, please?" Celine managed to ask him, with little fear and at the same time, compelling awe of the wolf's stunning appearance.
Contrary to her thought, the Giant wolf regarded her respectfully, and even gave her a friendly reply:
"I am the beast wolf of Manelda's largest island!" He declared.
"Oh! It's a wonderful meeting with you, beast wolf!" Celine greeted him, as she felt blessed, to have come in contact with such a powerful creature.
"Thank you, Celine!" The wolf returned the thanks.
"Do you even know my name? How come you know this?" She asked the wolf.
"The thing is…" the beast wolf began to explain, but as he was speaking, another voice put him to a halt.
"What's that sound? Where is it coming from?" Celine asked in wonder.
"That should be the voice of the sad lone wolf… perhaps he is hungry…" the beast wolf answered halfway.
"What's he doing there?" Celine asked the wolf another question; she was just unsure about the safety of the lone wolf.
"I hope you aren't thinking of how to save him or something related?" The beast wolf questioned Celine, almost angrily.
“Huh!” She sighed in response, and said, “can't we..?”
“I'll tell you many things about the wolf you're seeing there. The first I would say, is the way he always behaved, when he was still part of my pack,” the beast wolf explained.
"How?"
"The lone wolf there is a wicked soul! He's only known for doing evil to his other Omega mate friends!"
"I wish it wasn't him, honestly!" Celine exclaimed, having being disappointed about the lone wolf, whom she took for an innocent Omega male.
"Well, I'm not so sure you know you are a Luna. Maybe you haven't even heard anything about people who can shapeshift?" The beast wolf wondered.
"A Luna?" I asked him.
"Yes, you're a Queen, if you didn't know before,” the beast wolf responded, “at least now you know!"
"Does that mean I could have had an Alpha before, or I have one now? So, I am a Queen?" Celine inquired of him.
What had befallen Celine suddenly and heavily dawned on her one morning, after dreaming about it all.
Celine could not remember everything that she saw, in the vision of that night. She only knew surely that some being had made a counter declaration on her, which was also a night as well, in the dream.
Millions of thoughts began to rush so fast, into her fainting mind one after the other; she had no idea of what the curse was really targeting in my originally glorious destiny, as all had now started turning out to be fate.
“Perhaps I am meant to be alone, who knows? I am no better than the devil ill-fated Omegas in some scary forest!” Celine grumbled to herself, as her hairs swept her head backwards, so she sighed.
According to Celine, it would have been better, if only life knew how badly life had been treating her. She also began to lament her loneliness, after a lover of hers deserted her.
“I wish he knew how he left me in the lurch and only poured sand of loneliness over her face… her mind is sinking!” Celine let out a hearty shout.
It was so clear, that her mind had been seriously filled up with depression; over thinking and rethinking her fate was her daily routine. But, there was nothing to do, she guessed. Fate is fate!
No matter how itchy the voices which were dropping into Celine's mind garnered and rushed in, she still kept remembering her moments of interest in the past, with Dave, before he betrayed her.
Dave was actually a very caring and accommodating person; he was one, ever loving and supportive.
Apparently, there must be a tangible reason for his abrupt decision to leave her, seeming Celine had been so foolish, to have trusted him.
Also, Celine trusted Tera so much, that she kept a mutual but blind relationship with her; never knowing she was going to be the harbinger of everything causing depression to her.
Twisted around the recurrent thoughts was a recall of Celine's conversation in a hotel with the same Tera, when they were both in a city at Scotland.
