CHAPTER THREE
Back in those days, Celine would often take scrolls to eat out with Tera, to make her feel happy.
“I will never disappoint you!” she imitated Tera's frequent promises, which had been later proved wrong afterwards, by the way she lured Dave into sleeping with her.
What an excruciating behavior Tera put on!
Apparently, Celine could figure out some factors back then, which incited Dave's attitude towards her, nowadays. He subscribed to taking hard drugs lately, but she was not complaining to him yet.
It was until he chose to reject Celine outright, that the latter had no choice but to react. At least, Celine had shouted back at him once, which was even because he passed unpleasant remarks on her culinary skills. Dave who always admired her long ago then, was now even rejecting her from having a talk with him.
Next, Celine started to perceive the implication of the messages from strange voices she was hearing; flashing hard through her memory as if someone had preached to her, trying to change a mind to accept a belief or an ideology.
Nevertheless, the first statement she heard was so confusing.
The reactions Dave put on, towards her was what came to mind; but even the favours Celine received from him; the gifting and assistance Dave sacrificed to render before his departure, as he stubbornly decided to leave Celine for another woman.
But, how good would it be, relating to them again? Was he going to come back?
Celine seemed to be asking her mind some questions. After all, she did not start the thinking, herself; her mind did, as she was almost acting like a fool.
Maybe Celine had long been a foolish woman? Gifts and mere expressions were useless as pearls thrown in the mud! Whatever was happening now, needed no worries at all, since she had been called Dave’s ‘cursed woman’ all the moments we were together.
Very quickly, Celine picked up her small bag and stood up from where she was seated, and headed for a nearby bar.
She walked and talked at the same time. Celine had been having such strange feeling for a long time; she could not appreciate Dave enough, and that was piercing her mind as she kept mulling over the matter.
Even though Celine always would often exchange acknowledgements for the good things Dave had been offering her, she started to think she was never totally appreciative.
Perhaps she had cheated on him, in one way or the other, or Dave was the one who had been misunderstanding her, all along.
In a few minutes, Celine reached Bluesy Enjoyment Centre and hurriedly took a seat. She suddenly smiled when she noticed some other guests frown, for seeing her sit where they had been targeting.
Many people started to come, for the restaurant section, in order to purchase meals to eat, and to have some drinks. After then, Celine also changed her mind, as she planned to go for food and drinks too, rather than the drinks or beer, only.
"Madam, do you have Bluesy wine there?" Celine asked the waiter.
“Oh… Yes! We do have that!” She replied humbly.
As Celine stared at her for some seconds so quickly, she recognised her.
"Oh, is this you?" Celine asked the waiter.
"Yes, are you Tiffany Silverwood?" She asked to confirm. Celine never thought Lilian was working in Bluesy.
The way Lilian acted when they were together was as someone, who would never work anywhere else than the tycoons' business, such as a hotel, or some big company.
Celine was surprised to meet her, not only for the fact that we had come in contact again, but also that I had seen someone I could talk with, for sometime, at least before I found her own love.
“Lilian?”
“Yes, this is me!” Lilian replied again, glaring at her, as if Celine had changed so well in her stature and body buildup.
“It is still the same as me, dear,” Celine said and smiled. She actually could not believe she was smiling for the second time. Well, that could be a witty solution to her heartfelt pains, and it could also be comfort.
“Yeah, I know.”
Lilian Frosher was a young cryptic woman. She was a special type, because she had very potent and secret magical powers.
That Celine visited the bar and met Lilian there and around, was a rather weight-lifting comfort to her soul.
How Celine possessed superhuman and human related qualities at the same time!
The first person she would see in Lilian was a sage; the latter had been acting so wisely and mature ever since Celine met her.
The flashes of their moments together suddenly dropped into her mind. Lilian then sat Celine down, and advised her on how to go about keeping her from being called the accursed, at times.
She broke into tears.
The cries that slipped through Celine's eyelids down her cheeks and then to her chest, were tears of deep pain. She was now realising how she failed, in the part of not being too expository in her dealing with people, even with Dave, her runaway lover.
“Lilian, you’re the accursed woman!” Celine screamed at her.
“What's the problem, Celine?” Lilian asked her, as the wine she was bringing her, together with the extra cups fell off her hands.
Lilian had left her long after they began to recall how they came to know each other earlier, to get what Celine ordered for.
“Nothing! I don't need the wine anymore, please…” I managed to reply, even though I had decided to act harshly.
“Actually, that is the last we have. But, I will have to go long miles brewing another one…” she began to explain,” it is in!”
But, why did she seem not to show care at all? Lilian must have resumed some spyish plans over Celine's case. Why was she so concerned about the wine?
I wondered whose mouth would rate the quality of the wine, even if she got another one.
"Lilian, what are you saying?!"
