Naya jerked upright, startled. She quickly looked away from Lorien and turned to Serena, who was eyeing the Alpha with clear suspicion.
“Who are you, and why are you holding her like that?” Serena snapped. “Oh, I see, you are one of those wolves who think you can touch anyone you please. Try it again and I’ll deal with you myself.”
“Serena, he didn’t do anything. I almost fell. He caught me,” Naya said, still avoiding the Alpha’s eyes.
