Chapter 3“Destiny! Just the person I’ve been looking for.” Destiny glanced up from placing the money in the cash register. She’d just turned around the Open sign and unlocked the door in preparation for another day when Martha walked in. “Yes?” Martha’s attire drew her attention. Dressed in a brightly colored flower pattern dress with sandals, she stood out. Not just because of the clashing hues, but because it was fall. In Massachusetts. Leaves falling off trees, chilly nights, and sweater weather. Martha’s attire shouted the middle of a hot summer at a pool party. “I’m putting in my notice.” Destiny blinked. “You’re doing what?” With a grin, Martha closed the distance between them. “I’ve decided that I need to move on. To have some fun. I’m not a spring chicken and time is ticking.”
