The party was being held at a different place than their houses. Vignette had not wanted something so loud or ostentatious but Alexander had said that this was the occasion where they were supposed to meet with people and talk to everyone and make sure that they had the supposed support of every single person who mattered.
“Do you think that the Rockwells will come?” asked Vignette to Margaret in the car which they were driving to the venue.
