Vignette watched her husband as he sat reading the paper. Alex Jr. was a few years older than her with the heavily muscled body of the athlete he had been in school. He still worked out several nights a week at the health club and was fond of walking around without a shirt to show off his torso. He wore his dark hair cut short and his face was one that showed little emotion. Vignette was often unable to tell what was really going on in his head, a fact that had bothered her on occasion and one which had been nagging at her ever since the conversation she had with Sue. She had not gone through with the visit and Sue had called her to tell her exactly what she had missed.
