Chapter 2

473 Words
We had already drunk quite a bit when Kai invited me to dance. I refused and just continued drinking. I noticed someone seemed to be staring at me. When I looked up, I saw what looked like a shadow on the upper level. I ignored it, thinking maybe they weren’t really looking at me. Eventually, I walked over to the dance floor, swaying a bit as I moved because of the drinks. I started dancing, letting the music drown out my thoughts. Then someone approached me, but I didn’t pay attention due to my tipsiness. I was surprised when he suddenly placed his hands on my waist. I turned to face him and saw a pair of blue eyes, a sharp nose, and red lips. “Done staring, baby?” he said with a sly grin. It was obvious he had been drinking too. I looked away, unable to hold his gaze—the beating of my heart was just too fast. Then my eyes slowly trailed back to his lips. I don’t know what came over me, but I leaned in and kissed him. He seemed shocked at first but soon responded to the kiss. It became deeper, more passionate. He led me to a darker corner of the bar, and we kissed again. It was my first kiss—I didn’t know exactly what to do, so I just followed his lead. His hands held my waist firmly, and I felt the warmth of his body so close to mine. “Open your lips, baby,” he whispered in between kisses. I didn’t respond, and instead just kept kissing him. “Mm…” I couldn’t stop the soft sound that escaped when he gently bit my lip. “That’s it, baby… just relax,” he said, his voice deep and tempting. “My name’s Dveiroin. Say it, baby.” He kissed down from my jaw to my ear and then to my neck, leaving a trail of warm sensations. I tilted my head to the side, giving him more access without even thinking. “Ugh… Dveiroin…” I breathed out his name as he gently bit and kissed my skin. “My name sounds perfect when you moan it,” he said, still kissing my neck. His hands started to wander, one resting on my thigh while the other gently squeezed my waist. I could feel my whole body responding, and for a moment, I forgot everything—Kian, the pain, the sadness. “I think we should take this somewhere else,” Dveiroin said, his lips brushing against my ear. I nodded without a word. He took my hand and led me out of the bar toward his car. Once inside, he pulled me onto his lap, and we shared another kiss before he started the engine and drove off.
