The car came to a halt after a few minutes of driving. Without saying a word, Dveiroin stepped out, walked around the car, and opened the door on my side. He carried me in his arms like I weighed nothing, walking confidently toward what looked like his house.
I didn’t know what to think—my mind was foggy from the alcohol, and my heart was racing from everything happening so fast. Before I knew it, he kicked the door open, carried me to a bedroom, and gently laid me down on the bed.
“Let’s pick up where we left off,” he whispered as he climbed on top of me, brushing my hair gently from my face before leaning in for another kiss.
His lips moved softly, then deeply, against mine. I could feel the intensity between us building. His hands slowly explored, not rushing—just holding, touching, memorizing.
My breath hitched as I felt him get closer, his warmth melting away the cold corners of my broken heart. I knew what was happening. A part of me was scared… but another part wanted to forget everything—even just for tonight.
“Are you okay?” he whispered, pausing, his forehead resting against mine.
I nodded slightly, not trusting my voice to speak.
He smiled gently. “I’ll be careful.”
Dveiroin kissed me again, this time slower—more tender than before. It felt like he wasn’t just trying to touch my body, but reach the pieces of me that were tired, hurt, and trying so hard to heal.
As his lips trailed softly down my neck, I closed my eyes and let out a shaky breath. I wasn't sure if it was the alcohol, the loneliness, or the feeling of finally being seen—but something inside me gave in. Not out of weakness, but out of the need to feel something real… even if it was just for the night.
“I’ve got you,” he whispered.
His words were simple, but they wrapped around me like a warm blanket in the middle of winter. For the first time in a long time, I didn't feel abandoned or invisible.
Every touch felt like a promise, even if I didn’t know what it meant yet. There was something about the way he looked at me—not like I was broken, but like I was someone worth holding.
And in that moment, I stopped thinking about Kian. I stopped remembering the hurt. I just existed in the now—with Dveiroin, with the warmth of his body beside mine, and the quiet beating of two hearts that didn’t need to say much to understand one another.
