Chapter Twenty-seven The days between Thanksgiving and Christmas were filled with indecision. Usually I’m prepared and get my shopping done early. This year was different. Making up my mind about gifts was as tricky as making up my mind about the rest of my life. Where would I live? Would we share custody of Jennifer? Could I be happy with Marly? Should I go back to Ted? One minute decision “A” seemed like the right thing to do. The next I had cast it aside in favor of decision “B,” which lost ground to decision “C.” In spare moments I roamed the mall, ruminating on my future with no satisfactory answers.
