The High Court in the Divine Realm
The high court stood tall above the rest of the realm and the High God Kreo sat on his throne looking out at the other gods and goddesses. Kreo was bigger and more intimidating than the other gods and goddesses. He had a massive build and strong muscles. He, after all, gave life to most of the other gods and goddesses in this room. That is why he was High God. He had called a meeting to discuss the realms they had created. From his throne he could see all the other realms. At the center of the high court was a spherical structure that showed what was happening at any time in any realm. The sphere gleamed with light at its edges and the images within could be changed at Kreo’s will. He was currently showing the werewolf realm to the others.
“See what I mean? They are living in chaos and they are killing each other. Many of them don't care about each other or even children. Don't even get me started on the rampant s*x and disregard for the dead. The ruler of the werewolf realm can’t handle the dark ones. We need to send someone else that can rule over them.” Kreo said to the other gods and goddesses in the court. “That’s just the werewolf realm. The other realms are just as bad or worse.”
“It is probably a good idea. They can’t do it on their own, they need our guidance,” Atavi said.
She was the nature goddess. Her body was green and it faded out to bright green at her shoulders and then yellow to orange down her arms. Her hands were a crimson red and then brown at her finger tips. Her hair was the same, growing out like tiny vines from her head. Starting with the bright green at the roots, then fading out to the reds and oranges at the ends. Her hair was long reaching her feet.
“I think we should stay out of it” Kamaria the moon goddess said. Her skin glowed a light silver and her long hair was white and floated around her. “It’s their realm, just because we created it doesn’t mean we get to do whatever we want with it. We created rulers for it and we should leave it at that.” She continued in a sing song voice.
“I agree with Kreo, we can’t let them destroy what we created. If we don’t send someone who can handle it, then they will be completely destroyed.” Tasi, the god of all the waters said. His body was all shades of aquamarine, azure and even transparent in some spots.
“I don’t care if they destroy themselves, we can just create another world and destroy it too. It’s not like it is difficult for us to make another realm.” Abaddon said, he was all about destruction.
“Destruction should be done thoughtfully” Maralah, the goddess of natural disasters said.
“You just don’t like destruction when it’s not done your way,” Abaddon retorted to Maralah.
“Just leave them be, like Kamaria said.” Kuu the Moon God said. He had silver eyes and silver hair with dark grey skin.
“You are just saying that because you and Kamaria have to agree on everything,” Abaddon grumbled.
“Even if we did send someone. Who would we send?” Maralah interjected.
“I have some ideas,” Kreo said, bringing the attention in the room back to him. “I have some angels I could send. They would have power from the light to fight off the darkness.”
“I can see some flaws with your plan. The angels draw their power from light sources. If you send them into darkness, their power will be depleted.” Kamaria said, not approving of Kreo’s plan.
“Nonsense, the Angels will be strong enough,” Kreo stated.
“Not all of us have had our say yet,” Said Obi the God of Love.
Obi gestured to all the other gods and goddesses standing in the high court. Several of them nodded in agreement with Obi.
“Yes, we all need a say. I think we should leave it the way it is also. Kamaria makes a good point.” Said Bedisa, the Goddess of destiny.
“Yes, what’s the point of creating beings that can choose, and then take that away?” The god of balance said. “There needs to be a measure of good and bad, without it there is no understanding. Without understanding, there is no appreciation and everything continues to unravel.”
“If they are just doing what we make them do, they might as well be puppets. That is just blind obedience, and where is the fun in that?” Shaninxa the Goddess of Chaos said.
Kreo sat silently listening to the others bicker. He would let them have their say; but he was growing irritated with them. He didn’t really care what they wanted anyway. Lately he just wanted things to go his way. He just had to let them believe they were a part of his final decision. The Gods and Goddesses continued to argue. An emissary would not yet be sent out to the other realms until they could all come to some kind of agreement. Or until Kreo had enough of their arguing.
“Enough” Kreo shouted to the others. His voice thundered all around them. “I’m done with all of this for today. We can come back and discuss things further at another time. You are all dismissed.”
Kreo waved his hands, shooing everyone out of the high court. He was not looking forward to the next meeting. All the gods and goddesses turned and slowly made their way out of the high court. Kamaria walked next to Kuu. They were inseparable and loved each other deeply.
“Kuu, I don’t like the sound of all this. Kreo isn’t acting normally. There is more to this than we know. I’ve suspected it for quite some time now and have already made my own plans. I just hope I am correct and my plan works.” Kamaria said quietly to Kuu after they left the high court.
“I agree, Kamaria. It is good that you already have your plan set in motion. We need to come up with something else though, to maybe appease Kreo when it comes to controlling the realms. I have an idea, but we need to talk to Obi about it.” Kuu said back to Kamaria.
“Ooh, I like the sound of that. If it has to do with love, then it has to be a good idea. What do you have in mind?” Kamaria asked Kuu.
“Let’s talk to Obi, with any luck, what I am thinking should work.” Kuu answered back.
“Yes, let’s do that, you have me curious now.” Kamaria said to Kuu and tilted her head towards him with a smile.
