After the old man said that, his eyes went to Emery who was peeking through the door. To Emery's surprise, she accidentally dropped the glass she was holding. It broke and made noise around the area. The nun and the old man looked at her direction. Emery quickly hid. She no longer knew what she was going to do. She was feeling nervous because the two might catch her.

"She's here...”

Emery heard those words again. Fearing that they might see her, she quickly ran to her room. She no longer locked the door of her room. She lay down on her bed and covered herself with a blanket. Emery forced herself to sleep because she felt that Sister Anasha was going to check her on her room.

Emery feels too nervous. She could almost hear her heartbeat. She was also sweating so she quickly wiped her forehead. Then she heard someone opened the door of her room. Emery closed her eyes and pretended to sleep. She did not move her body. Only the blanket remained to cover her.

"Emery, are you still awake?" the nun asked her. But she did not answer. She still remained pretending to be asleep. Even though she knew that they might have seen her earlier, she thought that she would just pretend tomorrow that she did not hear or see anything earlier. Or she can pretend she didn't wake up and leave her room that night. Emery felt the presence of the nun approaching her.

The nun removed the blanket that covered Emery's head. Emery kept her asleep. The nun can't catch her. She thought that the nun might be angry with her if she found out that she was still awake at that time and heard what the nun was saying to an old man. Especially and she heard the nun call him the Lord.

Sister Anasha stroked Emery's hair. The hairs on Emery's body stood up as she felt the nun's caress on her head. “I always want your safety, Emery. The moment I see you again enter a room in that ‘hallway’ again, you will be punished. You can't go in there because you can't... you can't get out alive.”

The nun had only a faint grasp of those words. But Emery's ears were ringing. She almost frowned in astonishment. There were so many things on her mind at that moment.

Why did Sister Anasha say that I might not be able to get out alive by the time I re-entered a room there again? What exactly is there? Does that mean that when Angel went in there he was no longer alive? The messages Steph left me still haunt my mind.

Emery felt the nun leave her side and leave the room. But she still did not move when she heard the nun come out. She thought a lot until she finally fell asleep.

The next day, Emery wonders if she will leave her room or not. She was still wondering if she would pretend that she did not hear anything or not. Especially and she thinks she was caught last night. Emery just took a deep breath and decided to act without knowing what happened last night.

She went to the bathroom to take a bath and groom herself. It's Monday and they're back at Hellviore High. Fortunately, she woke up early even though she didn't sleep well last night.

When she had finished arranging herself, she went to the dining area. The nuns were already there waiting for her at the dinner table. It was only six in the morning but they woke up immediately. “Good morning, Sisters,” Emery greeted the nuns.

“Good morning, Emery. Come and eat here so that you have the strength to enter Hellviore High,”bSister Chloe called to her. Emery sat in her usual seat. She noticed that Sister Anasha was just quiet and ignored her. She ignored her too and they began to pray.

While they were eating, everyone was quiet. Emery suddenly was not comfortable because Sister Anasha was not talking to her. That was the first time the nun ignored her. Until they finished eating, the nun still ignored her. Emery first brushed her teeth and then informed the nuns that she was going to school.

"Where is Sister Anasha now?" Emery asked Sister Chloe curiously. She noticed that Sister Anasha was not there even though she was about to go to the academy.

"I'll take you to Hellviore High first," Sister Chloe replied. Emery frowned at what she heard. "Why? Does Sister Anasha feel bad and can't take me to the academy now?” wondered by Emery again.

Sister Chloe smiled slightly at her and shook her head. “Sister Anasha only has things to take care of so she can't take you now. She ordered me to take you to the academy first. Don't you want me to take you?”

“No, Sister Chloe. I’m just wondering if she won’t be with me now. She didn't pay attention to me either.”

Even though Emery had thought a lot about Sister Anasha, she still couldn't help but be sad. That was the first day Sister Anasha hadn’t been able to notice her. She also treats that nun as a real mother.

Emery has already entered Hellviore High. She also not use to that Kate was not at the gate that she was always looking forward to. She thought that maybe Kate was already in their classroom or maybe she hadn’t went to school yet.

But when Emery entered their classroom, all of her classmates were already staring at her. She also saw Kate to one side who was already sitting elsewhere. Kate moved and they were no longer next to Emery in the chair inside the classroom. Kate averted her eyes from Emery when she saw her staring at her in surprise.

What is it now? Why are my classmates staring at me? Why does Kate seem to suddenly avoiding me?

“Why did you come in class today? The thickness of your face and you were still able to go to class today after what happened to Steph?” said by a female friend of Steph.

Emery frowned. "What do you mean? Am I not allowed to go to the academy? I have nothing to do with Steph's death,” Emery replied boldly.

Some of her classmates approached her. But Emery felt no fear. Instead, she showed them even more that she would fight them all. Especially and she knew she was doing nothing bad to them all.

"Really? Your whole being is weird, Emery Quinn. We thought you might have bewitched Steph so she died suddenly.”

“It seems that you are not always with a real nun. We don’t see her in the churches that are here in our area. You can't even tell anyone where you live. It means you are hiding where you live. Maybe a witch is always with you and she's just pretending to be a nun!”

“Not everything we say today is impossible. Especially and Steph is always fighting with you before. Maybe you complained to your mother so she cast a spell on Steph to get revenge on you. You are so bad! You are not human!”

“I don't know why you think that way about me! It is true that a nun is always with me! Even if you ask my friend, Kate. She will prove that she is a nun and not a witch. Don't involve her in this because we have nothing to do with what happened to Steph,” Emery replied angrily to them.

Her classmates looked at Kate. Kate stood up and now looked at Emery badly. Emery was surprised when his friend looked at him. “Don't involve me, Emery. From now on, we will no longer be friends. I don't want to be affected by you and your troubles,” Kate replied to her.c

"But Kate—"

“You heard what your friend said. From now on, you don’t have any friends anymore. Because you are a monster. Your mother bewitched Steph so she died for no reason at all! It is impossible for Steph to disappear from this world for no reason if she is not bewitched. Your mother used some spell or witchcraft to Steph. That’s why she died that mysterious.”

“Say what you want to tell me. I know in myself that what you are saying were not true and that there were no truth at all. Just mind your own business. The polices and doctors already look at Steph’s body and investigated what happened to her. I am not involve.”

“You are a plague! What should the school do to you is being kicked out here at Hellviore High. You don't deserve to be a student like this in Hellviore High! You are unlucky! You bring bad luck to all of us!”

Emery could not hold her anger anymore. She wanted to just cut off their tongues, so that they cannot speak anymore. She don’t have any idea why her classmates were acting like that. Even though they know that they were just making stories and they were saying false information to her.

"Be afraid of me because you might end up losing your life if you don't stop accusing me!"
