Sister Anasha

1000 Words
There have been many cases of the man colliding with Emery’s parents. Emery is currently in the care of the DSWD. She no longer has relatives with whom she can live. The man is now incarcerated and Emery's parents have also ended up being buried. It took only three days and all the men covered the cost. He also gave money to Emery even though the child did not want to accept it. He will regret for the rest of his life what happened and he did it. As Emery was walking inside the DSWD, she overheard the conversation of two workers there. "The child whose parents died, there is no way to find where she will be placed," said a woman. "All I know is that she will be adopted by a rich family." When Emery heard that, she immediately took her belongings and got out to the DSWD. Fortunately, she had some money with her so she was able to get away from there immediately. She did not know where she was going. Emery was just wandering around and she was looking for where their house used to be. She wants to stay there first because she misses her parents. But she could no longer remember where their house was then. It was as if she was lost because she was no longer familiar with the place she was going to now. It was getting dark and she was still walking. She even bought her food as she walked. When she felt tired, she first sat down in the waiting shed that she saw. She looked up at the sky and almost cried again when she remembered her parents. “I'm having a hard time now... I don't know how I can live without you. Mom, Dad, I miss you so much,” Emery cried. Suddenly, she saw at her side a woman wrapped tightly in a dress. She looked up and saw a nun smiling at her right now. She stepped aside from her seat, which surprised Emery. "Don't worry because I'm sure your parents are watching over you now. They will not leave you,” said the nun. Young Emery frowned at what she said. "How did you know they were gone?" wondering its question. “I heard what you said earlier while looking at the sky. Why are you here alone? It is dangerous here in this area especially and you don't have anyone older than you,” she said again. “Honestly, I don't know where I am right now. I ran away from the DSWD because I heard that they would adopt me from a rich family. I don't want to be with anyone's family. ” "Do you have no other relatives to live with?" Emery nodded, “No more. I am the only one left now and I have no relatives,” she replied. “Do you want to come with me? We have an orphanage. I and other sisters like me cared for the children there. Everyone there is kind enough to be with you and you will definitely be happy. ” Emery was surprised by what the nun told her. “I am Sister Anasha. You can trust me. I will also make sure that you do not regret coming with me because I will not leave you,” she added. “But I am ashamed, Sister Anasha. I don't know if I deserve to go to that orphanage. " "Do not worry. You have companions just like you, an orphan and without parents. What is your name?" “I'm Emery Quinn. Is it true that it's okay for me to live there? ” Sister Anasha smiled at her and then nodded, “Sure. Everyone can live there. You will not regret coming with me. ” Emery didn't hesitate and immediately joined Sister Anasha. She helped her with the belongings she was carrying and they boarded a public bus. Emery just silently stared outside as she watched what they were going through. A few more minutes passed and they came to a vast land with a large white gate. “This is the orphanage I told you about earlier. Welcome to your new home, Emery, ”Sister Anasha said to her with a smile. She held Emery's hand as they entered. The place is very quiet and very spacious. Emery expects her to see a lot of kids but seems to have none. Often in what he watched then there were children playing in the orphanage. But she thought it was already night so maybe children like her were resting. Maybe they are too tired by playing outside. They went inside and she was surprised to see so many nuns coming to meet her. It was as if they were expecting her to come to that place. She was very shocked when she saw how many sisters are in front of her. She felt ashamed because of how they welcomed her but also felt happy because she thinks that she is now in the right hand to live her life. She is so blessed that she came in that kind of family. “Welcome to Heaven’s Temple, Emery. We are happy to be with you from today in this place,” one of the nun said.
