DREAM

“How can you say that I am the Lord? You will see the Lord if you’re eligible to see him. You can’t see the Lord normally like this. He is way too powerful than you ever imagined,” the old man told Emery. “Then if you are not the Lord, who are you? What are you doing in this room? Why are you just locked up here? What is the use of this room? I do not understand why we are not allowed to enter the rooms in this hallway,” Emery answered to the old man. The old man suddenly laughed at the questions Emery was asking him. “Are you sure you want to see the Lord? If you are sure, then I can take you to him right now. Just make sure that you really want to see him. Because you might regret your decision when the moment that I brought you to the Lord,” the old man said to Emery again. Emery frowned at what he said. “Why would I regret my decision? Isn't it good that I have seen and talked to the Lord? Many of the members of Heaven’s Temple like to see the Lord every time they pray. Then now, will you tell me that I might just regret my decision? I have long wanted to see the Lord and talk to him. I have many questions in my mind that I think only he can answer me,” Emery explained to him. "If that's really what you want to happen, I will do what you want—" "Emery!" The old man could not continue what he was saying because of Sister Anasha's shout. It seemed as if the old man who was talking to Emery had suddenly disappeared in just a flash. Emery rolled her eyes around the whole room, but she could never see the old man she was talking to again. "Emery, where are you right now?!" Sister Anasha shouted again. Emery sensed that the nun was approaching her place, so she quickly left and went out of that room. It was also the right time that the nun reached the hallway. She frowned when she saw Emery standing across from a room. "What are you doing there, Emery?" Sister Anasha asked her curiously. “It looks like someone called me here earlier, Sister. I'm looking for you so I thought you were the one calling me in this room. Don't worry because I didn't go inside,” Emery replied to her. Sister Anasha breathed a sigh of relief when she heard that Emery had not entered that room. She approached Emery and then supported her out of the hallway. “It's good that you didn't go in there. I'm really worried about you because we can't find you. We thought something bad had happened to you,” said by the nun. Emery wondered what the nun meant when she said that. “What is there in the rooms there? I have been living here in Heaven’s Temple for a few years but I still don’t know what is in the rooms there,” Emery asked curiously. “Right now; you can't figure out what's in those rooms there. When the right time comes, you will know.” When will that right time come? They often just tell me that I will only know what I need to know when the right time comes. I’m getting older but I still don’t know much about this place. Everything is mysterious to me. “You seem to be thinking deeply right now, Emery. Is something bothering your mind?” Emery did not notice that they had stopped walking. She turned to the nun and smiled slightly at her. “I'm fine, Sister. Maybe I'm just hungry so I'm like this right now,” Emery reasoned. “Is that so? I'm sorry if we couldn’t cook your food right away. We had an important meeting that the nuns attended.” “Where did you go? Where your meeting held? I was just surprised that all of the nuns were not here earlier. That was the first time that I haven't seen you here ever since before,” Emery replied. “The meeting we went to earlier was really important. You are asleep so we haven't said goodbye to you earlier. You look so tired that you sleep too long. Come on and let's eat. I have told Sister Chloe to cook your food, so that your stomach will be full.” Emery didn't speak anymore and they started eating. At night, Emery was restless. She could still think of the old man she had talked to in a room in the hallway. Time passed and it was twelve o'clock in the midnight. Emery was still awake and unable to sleep. She thought of going out of her room. She was sure the nuns were asleep at that time. It is quite throughout the whole place. She just walks slowly so she doesn’t make any kind of noise. It was dark all over the church and the weather was cold. Emery's body was drying with cold. She didn’t know if she was going to go down the hallway again or not. She was nervous that someone might catch her when she re-entered the room she had gone to that morning. She stared at the statue of the Lord in front of her. She did not know whether she should give respect there as other members do or not. Until she did not realize that she was staring at the statue of the Lord in front of her. What kind of Lord are you really? Why do people worship you? I'm sure you did something to Angel before. Just in case my suspicion that there is a real man pretending to be a Lord in this place is correct, I am sure that that old man is the Lord. You’re not good and I know you only bring bad things into other people’s lives. “Emery…” The hair on Emery's body stood up when she heard a voice calling her name. She turned around and saw no one else there, besides her. “Emery…” That strange voice called to her again. Until someone called her over and over again. She was also circling because she could hear the voice as if that ‘voice’ was surrounding her. “Who are you? Show yourself to me,” Emery said boldly. She did not raise her voice because some nuns might wake up and see that she was there. "Emery, do you want to know what happened to your dear friend?" whispered by a strange voice to her. She felt that ‘voice’ was behind her. But she does not feel afraid. Instead, she only strengthens her self and be brave enough. “What do you mean? Did you do something to my friend, that’s why she disappeared from this world?” Emery asked him boldly. She was horrified to hear the frightening laughter of the person speaking to her. “She came with me willingly. Don't you want your friend to be happy? She is now happy to be where she is with me. How about you? Do you want to come with her? Do you want to see your friend again?” "Do you want to see your friend again?" "Do you want to see your friend again?" That voice was all around her. The voice was repetitive and irritable for her. Even the laughter of that strange voice she could hear. She covered her ears and closed her eyes because of the voice. “Ah! Stop! Stop it!” she shouted. Emery quickly sat up in her bed after waking up from her dream. She turned around and saw no one else. She breathed a sigh of relief when she realized she was only dreaming. She felt very nervous. In her mind, she was fine and she woke up from that bad dream. She got up from her bed. She thought of taking a glass of water from the kitchen to calm herself. When she got to the kitchen and got a glass of water, she heard some voices that seemed to be talking. Emery stopped drinking and peeked into the chapel. “Oh Lord, please hear my prayers. I just want Emery’s safety. Please hear my prayer,” Sister Anasha said. Emery saw the nun on her knees as she continued to pray. But when she took a closer look, the nun was not at the statue of the Lord praying at that time. Her eyes widened when she saw an old man sitting in the middle and just looking at the nun. Emery could not see the face of the old man and could only see his eyes. "Bend your knees more and pray to me," she heard the old man say. That voice was what she heard in her dream. Why does Sister Anasha worshiping him? Is it really true that I thought that man himself was what they thought was the Lord and not just a statue? “Emery will be mine in the future. She will be safe with me. That kid is mine and not to anyone else. She is like my property, no one can have her except me.”
