XENIA.
My heart thudded wildly against my chest as the limo slowed towards the huge, towering, iron gates designed in gold. Their intricate designs casting shadows all over it.
"Welcome to the international Academy." I read out aloud, clenching my hands into my laps, my palms damp as countless, uneasy thoughts ran through my mind.
'Would they sense instantly that I wasn't one of them, would they all welcome me despite that, did I make the right choice agreeing to get enrolled in this prestigious college?'.
As the driver horned, the gates gently cracked open, revealing the sprawling, manicured lawns that seemed to stretch to the horizon. I looked up to see the school building standing majestically.
The walls, a graceful color of white, the window glass, sparkling clean, reflecting the golden sunlight, radiating the whole place. I got down from the car, watching as students, dressed in the same, elegant uniform as I was, moved up and down in groups.
The uniform, for the girls, was a white shirt, black tie and skirt which stopped mid-knee, then long socks to the knees and any type of shoes. I was wearing sneakers, while some other girls wore heels.
A black blazer was to compliment the shirt, and I attached a white bow to compliment my grey hair. I was sure I looked every bit of them, but could I act it?
I took in a deep breath, took my backpack, waved good-bye at the driver and then began my journey to God knows where. I suddenly noticed students pausing in their movements and pointing at me, whispering.
"Who is she, she looks classy?"
"Was a new student supposed to arrive today, did I miss the blog?"
"She possibly can't be a pauper, we have to be friends." The whispers flowed on and on, while I tried my best not to be intimidated, drafting my eyes around and not knowing when I bumped into someone or did she bump into me?
"I guess the unexpected newbie doesn't have eyes, or perhaps forgot her glasses at home?" A sharp, soft voice interrupted my thoughts.
I took a step back, raising up my head to see a red-haired girl and eyes, dressed as elegantly as I was. Her lips were violet, her nose, pointed and her cheekbones full.
The school uniform was tight on her and brought all the curves I didn't have. Jealousy clawed at my heart.
'Who was she and she seemed rude?' I pondered, arranging the straps of my bag on my shoulders.
"I guess you are not only blind now but deaf." The girl continued and I frowned at her.
"Watch your words, miss and where you are going next time too." I told her, and everyone let out gasps, especially when I made to walk past her, but then;
She grabbed me by my arm, her manicured nails digging into my flesh, hurting me pain and almost causing me to wince, but no, I wouldn't give her that satisfication.
"Let me go." I told her calmly, looking into her eyes, which were glaring daggers at me, probably to get me scared.
I scoffed within. She sure was in for a long wait. Silence dragged on, as she kept on looking at me while the students who began to gather around, watched with their breath hitched.
I was about to fling her hand off mine when;
"What is going on here?" A familiar voice asked and I stiffened, for reasons best known to myself.
'Why do I always feel so jumpy when they are near?' I wondered, as I looked up to see both Damon and Dorian walking side by side towards us.
The girl holding my hand turned too and immediately she saw them, her expression softened as she released me, flinging my hand away and running towards Damon.
"Baby!" She called, jumping into his out-stretched arms and I found my jaw tightening.
I watched as he smiled at her, looking so beautiful, his hands patting her head softly. Her heart tightened in pain and I shut my eyes.
'Who was she to him and why was I feeling this way?'.
"What is going on, Paula?" Dorian asked the girl still clinging tightly to Demon and I huffed, attracting Dorian's attention who looked at me weirdly.
"So her name is Paula?" Hazel hissed in my head and I folded my arms across my chest, watching as Damon released Paula and walked towards me.
His earlier smile vanishing as he looked at me in distaste. Our eyes met and before I could say a word, he grabbed me harshly by the wrist and started dragging me away.
I noticed Paula's eyes widening a bit before she scowled at us, obviously annoyed. A wave of satisfaction went through me and I grinned at her, causing her to stomp her foot on the floor angrily.
Other students just watched in awe, some mouth's dropping.
"Where are the brothers taking her, do they perhaps know her?" One of them asked but got no answer.
At the mention of brother, I turned and saw Dorian trailing behind us, his hands in his pocket, the school shirt clinging tightly to his chest, the first few buttons opened, giving me a glimpse of his hot flesh.
I found myself suddenly breathing fast and feeling thirsty when I was dragged to a corner and Damon slammed me against the wall, hard.
I winced, feeling pain radiating through my body, knowing my back would probably be bruised, due to the hard impact he used.
Dorian came so close to me, I could literally feel their breaths on my face, our chests almost meeting.
"What are you doing here?" He questioned and Damon scoffed, like he had just asked the most stupid question ever.
"Isn't it obvious Dad enrolled her?"
"Well, why?" Dorian turned to snap at him, but Damon just rolled his eyes, ignoring his question and raising his brows at me.
"I don't know why Dad enrolled you here, neither do I give a s**t but watch your place and let no one know we are related, or else...?" He warned, swallowing the remainder of his words, while I gulped, feeling they were scary.
