XENIA. Growing up in the orphanage was fun till I was sent out at the age of 17 because no parents were willing to adopt me, and according to their words, I was now old enough to fend for myself. I had to leave, and that began my journey of living in the streets. Ariana was a thug who took more than half of the income each beggar on the streets made. At first, I tried to be tough and refused to be forced to give, but I guess that was one of the biggest mistakes of my life, for I activated her wrath. I became her personal punching bag, and beggar she made sure to torment every now and then. And If I refused to do as she wanted, I got beaten up. At one point, I got fed up and decided to stay on another street, led by a new thug, but rather, I got tricked. I thought I could be free of her but ended up being proved wrong. She found me and almost had me r***d but the moon goddess sent this man in disguise to help me. At first, when he offered to adopt me, I was wary of him, but then, he had been nothing but nice to me, so he couldn't be evil, right? Presently, I was in the limo, sitting beside him at the back and looking out the window, as the driver drove us. 'Was I really leaving the street life behind?'. I wondered. My heart raced as we drove through the towering, iron gates that spread open, revealing the large estate that seemed to go on and on without an end. My eyes widened as I saw the gigantic building standing in between. It had a vibrant painting splashes of color against the emerald-green lawns. It stood proudly, the glass gleaming beautifully under the golden sunlight. As the door was opened for us, and we both got out, my mouth hung open as I took slow, hesitating steps inside the building. My breath got caught in my throat as I pulled off my worn-out shoes and stepped into the plush, soft rugs that felt like heaven under my feet. Everywhere was vast, from the chandeliers to the chairs, walls, and windows, all designed with gold. It was just like I had stepped into a fairytale, from a book and I was Cinderella. I fought the urge to scream in joy as I turned around. I mean, just who was this man and how come he was so rich? "Welcome home to my humble aboard, dear." The man, who I still had no idea of his name yet, told me softly, and I beamed at him, feeling my heart was way too full to contain the amount of happiness I was feeling. "By the way, what is your name? I didn't get it earlier." He asked and I was about to respond when; "You don't even know the name, and yet you are adopting a stray dog?" A deep, voice responded heavily across the room, making me freeze. 'Who was that?' I pondered, feeling my heart skip a beat, especially when I began to hear the sounds of footsteps, not one but two. I blinked to get myself, before turning around softly only to let out a gasp. Two, tall, handsome guys were coming down the stairs. One after the other, their heads raised high and chins, standing tall.Their steps were gentle, calculated, and majestic. The two of them had similar features, were they twins? One had long, black, hair that was packed to the back, diamond earrings dangling from his hair. His eyes were piercing blue, icy as they ran all over my body with a dim, pointed nose, scrunched up in disgust at me, as he bit his lower, red lips, making them bruised. The air around me suddenly turned suffocating, and I found it hard to breathe. The second guy got off the long, steps that looked like it was designed with gold and came to stand beside the first guy. He had the same long, black hair, but he was packed in a way strands were falling from the bond. His eyes were green, his nose pointed, and his lips red. The side of his lips curled up as soon as he saw me, his tongue stretched out to lick his lips lustfully as his eyes were on my chest. 'What a p*****t!' I thought, knowing instantly this dude was a playboy. "H-hi." I tried greeting but was instantly caught off by the blue-eyed dude. "Keep the greeting to yourself. I don't want you here so don't get too comfortable." For some unknown reason, my heart cracked, and I winced in pain at his rudeness. "Now, Damon, don't be rude to your sister." His father cautioned, and the guy with green eyes burst into laughter while pointing at me. "You are funny, father. Don't be mistaken; just because we allowed you to bring a stray in doesn't mean we accept her as our sister." He said, still laughing.
